Received the following error after re-install:

'Your hardware appears to be unsupported. The game will continue, but you may experience reduced performance or instability'.

The game is laggy now, which hasn't happened before. I did receive the error before I re-installed the game.

Computer specs
CPU: AMD Phenom™ II X4 810 Processor @2.6GHz
RAM: 8GB
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, 64-bit
Video: ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series
Sound: Realtek High Definition Audio

I tested before via Can You Run It to check my settings and it all passed.

Never use Can You Run It. It's a very inaccurate tool.

On topic: What hardware does the configuration tool show you? It's possible it's detecting your onboard graphics chipset instead of your dedicated card. MassEffect3Config should be under the binaries folder in the Mass Effect 3 installation folder.

It's detecting my graphics card ok: ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series
Same with the rest of the settings as far as I can tell.

What VGA driver are you using? before i reinstalled my PC i had the AMD 12.1 (or 12.2 not sure) driver installed and it felt slow/sluggish sometimes (the Vista x64 installation also played part in that since it was 5-6 years old and full of crap).

I installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and didn't update the drivers from the ATI/AMD website and use the default drivers windows installs. Now it runs like a dream a little to smooth now makes it hard to aim.

I've got a Radeon HD5870 card

My driver date :4/19/2011
My driver version : 8.850.0.0
Somehow this doesn't compare to anything from the AMD website but it works like a charm.

And as mentioned, 'can you run it' is **** really, you can basicly run any game on any pc (within reason) but it doesn't say what settings/resolution.
