Also, when that same character slept with Zevran, she did it in full armor (heavy chain at the time.) I can't imagine that was comfortable for naked Zevran.... (you have to love bugged cutscenes)

Go back, if you feel like it, and read some of the romance/sex threads for KoTOR, JE, and ME. People who posted, for the most part, wanted MORE OPTIONS! So Bioware gave 'em to us.

So I kind of have to ask--what's the point of even including it. I mean, I could see if there was a decent plot involving it, but for me it's like it was just there to be shocking (and possibly get media frenzy if a talk show discovered it). And they probably want it to be optional, because they are aware of people's own personal tastes, which is why there's no real "mission critical" task involving that place.

For the record, I don't really go for uncovering every kinky sex option a game has to offer. It's not my cup of tea in real life, and I don't enjoy fantasizing about such things. It's just not me. I'll play characters of the opposite gender to experience a romance too rather than having it from the same sex angle. That doesn't make me homophobic; it just means that's not what I enjoy in my entertainment.
Props to Bioware for including all the angles. I especially enjoy how none of them are forced on you (with the possible exception of Morrigan's proposition which can still be turned down) and that you have to work to experience them. Stumbling into or being forced to experience an uncomfortable scenario would make a Bioware game closer to what some critics complain it is.
Just lay off slamming a group of people who have different values than you do.

I think a lot of the animosity is the near demand to take it out of the game because she didn't like it. If she doesn't like those options, then she doesn't have to use them.frylock23 wrote...
Ok, I have to admit to finding most of the responses here amusing. However, the denigration of people who might not like the idea of veritable orgies in their video games as "Bible bunnies" or other annoying slams against Christians is tiresome. Get some new material.

No one is telling you that you HAVE to go after every kinky sex option in the game, but her proclaiming that it's completely useless and never should have been put in can be seen as somewhat hypocritical.
I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

I do like the fact that there is a moral judgement there...note that Alistar and Leliana aren't willing to "share" you with Isabella unless they are "hardened" (read, made to be a little more selfish/cynical/corrupted).

I didn't mind the sex between my (male) character and the companions, or the brothel. But when I chose to break out of the dungeon by seducing the male guard, I was like - OMG, my guys a bit loose!
I did that too. I was expecting Alistair to make some snide remark, but I'd have to kill him if he had.

1. One grumpeh dwarf.
2. A *very* large mace sitting on the end of the bed with the resulting hilarious description.
3rd option = Severe WTF'ery. If anyone can explain that, unless its sole purpose is to break the brains of whoever's sad enough to keep clicking "surprise me".
... I mean.....Bwah?
The only thing remotely familiar in that entire little ...montage was the whip. Go figure. Plus my char stood there and shivered and looked severely freaked for about 15 seconds after the face to black scene.
It amused the Hell out of me!

There is a brothel, and you end up in a room, nekkid (after a discrete fade to black), with a sheep. The game companies aren't related, that I know of, but the situation was very similar. It could have been a nod to that. Or not. They may have put it in for the sheer sake of pervesity/hilarity.

I never said "take it out" (and I am not a "she" either). But I just think if you're going to deal with adult situations, it might be better as part of the plot and be really mature than something that is the equivalent of a quick visit to a strip club. That seems to be more adolescent that mature--sort of like "ooh, we have prostitute scenes". But I agree with Frylock that at least it's not really reliable to the main plot.

I apologize for mistaking your gender, in my defense you have a female name and a female portrait.
*shrug* As I recall from your pre-modified post you were extremely unhappy with the Pearl in totality and thought it should have been removed. I.e. Not been included. If that interpretation was too broad, again, I apologize.
I was simply attempting to point out why some of the folks here went trollish and began flinging insults. Not excuse it, by any means.
If ya's don't likes it, ya's dont's likes it. Nothin' wrong with that.
