Hello all,

So here I am seen waving the flag and shouting out the rallying call to  my fellow Samaritans. Given both Jacob and Thane have their own threads  like this I felt it was only fair for Samara to get one.

Intro

For those of us who love Samara, we know that her potential as a  character is underused. We also know that a Samara romance is more than  possible it could be done. At the same time it would have to be Shepard to put forth most the effort and make the advances.

Samara tells us that "the Code does not forbid romantic involvement, however I would never be interested in such that part of my life is behind me." Yet she is not being truthful because Shepard can indeed reawaken those
desires Samara says so "Your different from any I've known...... I believe I could find more than happiness with you"

There were many times where Samaritans were told by Bioware that the Samara romance would be address in ME3. I give you a statement from an interview done with a Mr. H. The question that was asked was about
teasing the fans in ME2 with a Samara romance and the near kiss scene between Samara/Shepard. Mr H. elaborates on that and he again promises  Samara fans more than what we got.

Here is his reply
"That scene between Shepard and Samara at the end of ME2 it's like the
giant pink elephant in the room between them. That's something many of
the fans have been asking for in ME3. So we plan to really develop that
and bring it together in a way that's natural to the characters and at
the same time delivers what the fans have been wanting. The Samara
romance will be taken care of in ME3"

What did we Samaritans get in ME3? One simple indirect line of dialogue that was supposed to be unique to the attempted Samara romance. This line of dialogue was so lame that many of us who attempted to romance Samara didn't even know that it was aimed at and for us. In fact the line was done in a way that felt more like it addressed a Friend Shepard. It offered no closure and no sense of acknowledgement to the attempted romance.

IN ME3 the unresolved feelings Shepard and Samara had for each other in ME2 was treated as nonexistent, like the near kiss scene never happened for anyone. This sad fate of treating ME2 LIs like they didn't exist or happen also plagued Jacob and Thane.

SO to join forces and raise more awareness I have created this thread and this group here.
http://social.bioware.com/group/7244/
Please join us in this fight, standing together is our best chance, and PLEASE Link this thread and our Group whenever you link to the many other Protesting ME2 LI threads/groups as It is all tied into the verry same Cause of Protesting the treatment of the ME2 LIs in ME3.

My fellow Samaritans please add your own opening statements here too, if you want to PM me them I will add them to this first post and make sure it is signed as being your statement.  I may be putting myself out here
as our leader but I feel my fellow Samaritans your voice matters just as much if not more than mine. The more people we have voicing their protest the better our chances are of getting noticed. Please continue to use this thread to bring up ideas that fight for Samara Romance.

As always to my fellow Samaritans Thank You All,
I could not do this without you all, your the best

I will fight for this! That is the first time I saw that comment about Samara and how they were going to give the fans what they wanted. I really cant believe they gave us just one line diffrence, and that line doesn't even hint at the facted you tried to romance her.  This is a quote I made in the group that I feel is a good example -

"I honestly feel kind of like Liara in ME1 and how she felt about
Shepard. She finds Shepard interesting at first because of the Prothean
beacon in his head. But later on she becomes more interested in Shepard
as a person, starting to like him/her and then starting to love him/her.
And she then expresses her feeling's for Shepard.

With Samara I feel the same way. When I first saw her I was drawn towards her. When I
first got a chance to talk to her I wanted to know more about an Asari
Justicar because they were interesting. But then after awhile when she
opens up to you I wanted to know more about her as a person, I was so
curious. The more I talked with her the more I liked her and soon fell
for her. And then I expressed my feeling's for her.

And if I were able to say anything to Samara in ME3 if she asked something like "Why
do you keep pursuing this Shepard". I would say what Liara said to
Shepard for bringing him/her back, "Because I couldn't let you go"

This is a pic that is on the group as well, Im posting it here because this is how I saw Samara.

I will fight for this, for Samara. As one of if not the most deep, believalbe and intriguing character's in Mass Effect she deserves nothing less. She derserves to be with Shepard and live in happiness, whether that means settleing down or righting wrongs in the galaxy together.
