No doubt the devs won't be able to please everybody, but it really sounds like they've been taking in everyone's feedback.

Two videos from the panel at Pax. If these have already been posted, I sure couldn't find them.

Just watched both videos to the end. Thank you brushyourteeth, very much for sharing.
I must say, I am encouraged by what I heard them say there. Did not like everything they said, 100%, but I never expect that. And I think they had a much more informative dialogue, and took much more difficult and relevant questions from the audience than the Mass Effect panel did at the same event. I still have Bioware's DA team on probation, as far as getting my money, say for a pre-order, or full price after release. But if they can deliver on the type of things they are suggesting (not saying they are promising), they may win me over before DA3 release. I want to hear more from them though, before then.

you're super welcome.
I felt like it was good news.
I was blown away by the way those guys handled questions from a few rude and even demanding fans by saying things like "no, that's not stupid at all." and "I would do that differently now if I could." and "we're actually sorry about that." which is something that they never had to fess up to and definitely didn't have to be so nice about.
The humility is... really refreshing. So thanks, panel, if you're reading this. It's easy for any of us as individuals to assume you're not listening when you're not doing everything we want, but I really feel like you listen and try.

Thank you for the link.
What they said looks good apart for the dialogue system.

This is perhaps the biggest thing for me, that has given me some optimism on DA3. It is a stark contrast to what the ME3 team has done, that continue to say (last I heard) that they thought they did everything right, when they made ME3. Sincere apologies can go a long ways to winning back fans, especially when you back it up with actions to prove you are sincere.
