Neat. What causes this reaction? I had Tali and Ashley at that sequence and they got along just fine (Ashley was my LI and I didn't have one in ME2).

I believe Ash had to be your LI in ME1 and Tali your LI in ME2.  That's what got the dialogue for me.

I find it creepy, on the level of it was a mistake for you to become the shadow broker. I hate that she can play with people personal lifes and secrets like that and think shes being funny.

No, but that doesn't make it any less creepy. It also doesn't mean that Liara can't just respect the privacy of her crewmates.

Romance Ashley in ME1, Tali in ME2 and take on the appropriate mission.

That must be it.  I was loyal to Ash and took her on every Rannoch mission and they were quite civil to each other.

Ash has to be your LI in ME1 and then in ME2 you romance Tali and keep on romancing Tali in ME3.

That support must be earned, the first time you meet her in me2 she doesnt joins you (maybe even saying that she cant really trust you yet, though unlike Ashley she doesnt acts like a **** about it), the 2nd time she does because she sees how far out shep was willing to go to assist her, you can still lose her support of Shep in me2 more than any other character in the game (by failing the loyalty mission, or picking legion in the conflict) only staying becuse she understands the importance of the mission so dont say that her support is unquestioning in me2 because its not.
If your shep betrays her she wont trust him and its one of the me2 characters that actually shows this in a reasonable manner, at least in me2.

Yea, that's classic Ashley right there. As for Liara and Tali, that's more good natured than anything else. I really miss those two from ME 1. Man, once you got them both leveled up and equipped right, you could walk into almost any room and only fire a shot at stuff if you really wanted to. They'd walk in and crap would be floating through the air and exploding/overloading like it was 4th of July. Ahhh ... the good old days of ME. *sigh*

 As much as I love Ash, I must agree that Tali owned her.

But Talimancers and Liaramancers, count your lucky stars. Tali and Liara get their occassional flak, but Ash? You can't go through ONE page of Youtube comments in any video that features her without someone calling her a bigot or a b****, pretty much every BSN post slanders her, and even in a thead with her name in it, it devolves into a debate about Tali vs. Liara. Sigh. It's not easy, romancing Ashley.

Weird.  In my playthrough the conversation was way lighter - Tali just asked if Liara saw anything they needed to talk about and Liara just said naw - basically.

Can't we all just get along....I don't hate on Tali, so why does everyone hate on Ashley? LEAVE ASHLEY ALONE!!! lol jk, I really don't care what anyone says, Ashley is my favorite character in the whole damn trilogy. You can hate on her as much as you would like, but I think she is awesome regardless..

Ashley recruited obviously.
Tali alive from ME2.
Bring Tali and Ash along
for Geth Dreadnaught mission.

None of that rationalizes Tali's instant trust for Shepard... or her slavish sticking with Shepard no matter what context or actions occur. Including choices that lose her loyalty, which is really more akin to 'focus' than actual loyalty.
