And that just happened to me.... I was playing happily having just completed wave 6 and lost a bunch of creds and experience when the servers unexpectedly 'died'.

Seriously Bioware... please patch in a fix so we don't lose the fruits of our labour due to a disconnection, especially when the d/c happens because your servers suddenly become "unavailable".

You also lose whatever equipment you used, such as cryo ammo, even if it hangs in the load screen and you never get in. And when the servers become unavailable, this seems to actually be a software bug...the lights are on, but nobody is home. Networking really needs to be fixed. Items used need to have journaling in case of whatever failure. Bad messages which make people think someone volunteered for bad behavior need to have more useful messages, and not say the player left if it was not really the player choosing to leave.

I have been dropped a few times by what appeared to EA's end too so I get that its a drag when it happens (especially after completing wave 10's objective). However I have seen far to many players dropping mid game because they didn't get rez'ed on the other side of the map from the team, or that cat just puked on the carpet, or whatever the excuse is and they leave the team screwed. There has to be some penalty for dropping to at least discourage this.

I know its annoying but 10-20 min worth of cash lost once in a blue moon is a lot better than rampant volumes of turds dropping out of matches that don't go just the way they want.

You know what?

I can still sorta close one eye for game disconnects.

What pisses me off is money that I already got that disappears when you buy something.

THAT...really pisses me off

I f*cking go into a rage fit when the host decides to leave because he died. Apart from that, that's life.

Instead of introducing a new system that might contain a new set of bugs, why not prioritize fixing the connection issues (already!)?

There is no perfect solution. Yah, it sucks to lose all that XP and Credits when you get D/C, but leaving should punish you. and if they made D/C not punish, people would just unplug.
If they make it so that you can leave and maintain Creds/XP, this game will go downhill really fast.

Isn't it already a punishment that you cannot reach Wave 10? You get more credits from completing wave 10 than from wave 3 and wave 6 TOGETHER.

This.

Seriously, I don't know of any other game online right now with as much flaky connection issues as this one.  Disconnects shouldn't be so much of a problem that it is occuring more than a voluntary quit.

Truly, it should either wait for the server to reacquire connection, and wait until it drops you, not just say "Oh connection lost, we are terminating your game instantly for no real reason hf"

Each wave should be worth credits starting from 1 with a tiny boost and 11 being the most
The objectives still provide the majority but they need credits for every wave ESPECIALLY EXTRACTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just finished a platinum match and we died on round eleven. we would have gotten the credits if the f**king host did not just ****** out and us before we could even press "next". 30 minutes wasted and 130 k credits denied from me just because some douche bag had a faster internet connection then me.

why the hell can't people just stick through for 5 bloody seconds after they are done loading

I disagree with you, because I think is a fantastic idea to not receive reward. If we get rewards when we gert d/c then it would be terribly hard to finish a game all the way to extraction. Think about it. You might stay all the way to the end but what about the others? I'm sure they won't care.

Ehh, what bugs me most is when other people leave early (for whatever reason) and they take their XP with them. Removing XP & creds from people who don't complete the game I get; but when XP is shared, the people that stayed shouldn't suffer.

Eh, whatever, I can't see myself promoting any more, so..

The system is fine as it is. Infact i believe they should add a penalty for host if the host leaves i.e. if the host leaves they should lose some credits of their own as a punishment

But yes. This is the dumbest design flaw ever. It would be easily fixable if all EXP/Credit was accumulated and evaluated after each wave.

Damn right. Simple fix. Why didn't they think of that?

Three words.  Host.  Migration.  Exploit.  That was something that was supposedly fixed in a past patch.
