Poor XBOX360 Version

As of now the graphics are pretty much terrible , whilst the PS3's graphics are OK.
It's yet another ****** poor attempt, and a slap in the face to Biowares 360 fans.
I hope an update later on will fix the graphical issues, much like Bethesda did with Fallout 3

It couldn't have anything to do with hardware limitations...

It looks like Balduers Gate dark Alliance on the PS2.
Also, by slap in the face, im speaking of how the treated us with ME, we had to sift through that crappy inventory whilst the PC gamers were given a shiny new one. A simple update could have fixed it, but it seems Bioware didn't care enough.

**** I'm annoyed now. Think I will cancel my order.
I'm still waiting on the PC version. Its in the mail and I probably won't get it until Thursday. However, one of my good friends got it on 360 today and I talked to him a bit ago and he said he is loving it so far. I mentioned the graphics complaints to him and he said it doesn't look as nice as a lot of newer games, but he knows as people should with a game like this, that the graphics are not nearly as important as the story and gameplay.
Frankly, I was more concerned with people complaining about gameplay. If graphics are all they have to gripe over then its a good sign. Oh, and the game runs smoother on 360 then PS3, but PS3 does look a bit nicer.
You could always upgrade your computer like I did. Built a new rig, cost me abot 700 dollars. Though, depending on your system, you may only need to upgrade a few parts. I would recommend this just because of the player created content that will be coming out.

I have not seen the Xbox version, so I can't judge. But the PS3 version looks/feels pretty good, but it does have some hang time here and there it shouldn't. Seeing as DA:O, while an awesome looking game and very ascetically pleasing, isn't exactly "Groundbreaking graphics" it should run at full speed, on full settings, on both consoles.
Kinda reminds me of Baldur's Gate. The graphics are fricken awesome, but at the same time, the technology they're presented on is dated. It's odd, Bioware has a habit of this. Not that it's even remotely close to being a bad thing, it's just a trend they seem to have.
but it does puzzle me the Xbox AND PS3 versions both dont run at a full 60FPS at 1080p. Because of the "dated" engine (Best way to put it) you would think the game would run fairly smooth. I betcha if I bought the PC version I could play it at full speed on my desktop PC (Geforce 7950GTX, 2gb ram, 2.2Ghz AMD64) that was great for it's time, but is starting to show it's age.

No, that would be too unlikely, its not Line the ps3 has 3 times the processor corrs which thereby in theory gives it a tech edge. /sarcasm
In this case the PS3's advantage is Blu-ray. A double- layer dvd can only hold 8.5 GB while the Dragon Age folder on my PC weights in at over 15 GB. Obviously the high-res textures had to go.

If disc space was the issue, they should have released the game on 2 DVDs... I guess they were too cheap to do that.Drakhoran wrote...

(Xbox 360 game disc seem to be capped on 6.8 GB of game data)

I have the PC version and played alot todya, but I also played the 360 version with my cousin today to, both are tons of fun.
The 360 version is still very very good. Not the best graphics, but amazing gameplay, topnotch stoyr and characters.
Stop overreacting about the 360 version.
Install it on the HD and your good to go.
From my experience so far, the xbox360 verison runs WAY WAY better then the ps3 version, while the ps3 version has slightly better textures.
