I dont think the graphics on the PC are going to wow you either. I have everythign turned up full blast on my PC, and the graphics are still a bit dated. To be honest, it doesnt matter. The gameplay is incredible!

PC version rules. higher resolution, cranked up graphic detail maxed out, mouse and keyboard interface, couldn't imagine playing this pc game on a console.

The 360 version is still very very good. Not the best graphics, but amazing gameplay, topnotch stoyr and characters.

Stop overreacting about the 360 version.

Install it on the HD and your good to go.

From my experience so far, the xbox360 verison runs WAY WAY better then the ps3 version, while the ps3 version has slightly better textures.

You said the 360 doesn't have the best graphics. Does it still look pretty good in your opinion? I have a PS3 and 360. The 360 version is in the mail. Basically I don't want to be distracted by the ugly graphics if they are as bad as I have heard.

It's really not that bad.  I'm playing it on 360, and haven't had a problem with the graphics.  The game is too fun.  I don't know how you can say, "I'm not a graphics snob, but the graphics make this game unplayable."  Thats an oxymoron, if you really weren't a graphics snob, you would be playing the game, not trolling forums about how the graphics make it unplayable.

PS3 and ESPECIALLY XBOX 360 are inferior to PC in the graphics dept, sorry but it is the truth... (and yes I will be the first one to say graphics aren't everything)

I'm just putting this out there cause I am sick of hearing console people whine about graphics...

Then don't get this game. It's been in development for the better part of a decade.  If you can be distracted by graphics, than it's not the game for you, wait for COD:MW or something else flashy.  This game is about gameplay and fun, not eyecandy.  But if awesome gameplay is your thing, go for it, it's fun.  Not the best graphics though.

Mass Effect blows this game away as far as graphics and frame rate on the consoles. So whats the excuse for this game, same company years later and they release a game that looks like it pre-dates ME, This game looks like a Wii game. The game is fun but the graphics and frame rate are sub-par

Thanks. Usually I enjoy the games because of the story, gameplay, and world. So if all of those things are great, I should be set. By the way, I might get COD:MW eventually, but not at first. Those games seem to get boring quicker. I'm planning on dragon age with a little borderlands on the  side lasting until Mass Effect 2 (which has story, gameplay, world, and graphics).

I'm playing the 360 version... yeah, the graphics aren't that great. So far it really seems like a simpler NWN, like a fantasy KotOR. The graphics are well enough, kindof reminds me of Fable 2 a little bit. I don't think it'll be remembered as Bioware's greatest console effort, but I'm just glad to be getting another decent RPG for my game consoles.

 I downloaded it to my xbox 360 hardrive and to me it runs alot better I personally have not seen anything wrong with it besides some bad scenery with no detail but other than that it runs smooth and looks good

I wonder how feasible it would be to have included a second disk that only had more higher resolution textures. If it would have been possible to use that disk when installing if the you had the available space to make it pop a bit more. I wonder how feasible it would be to include some kind of high res texture download over the market place. Probably to difficult or imposable due to how the Xbox plays it off of the HDD when installed onto it. I do not know the technicalities of the process that it uses to install and play off the hard drive so I can assume that it will not or cannot be done.



I have played only a few hours but so far I love it. I was walking in the Wilds and I heard this strange grunting noise and thought to myself, "What is that crazy noise?" Just then I spied an herb, "Sweet!" I thought to myself as I ran to it. Suddenly as I reached the herb a group of Darkspawn Rouges jumped out of the ground and attacked! I nearly dropped my controller it was so unexpected... My party slaughtered them as I was left sitting there stunned by the sudden and unexpected ambush.



If this game provides more moments like this one it will have been a colossal success in spite of how good or how bad it looks.

I'm playing on the PS3, mainly because I'd rather play the game on a nice large screen near my bed rather than on a cramped computer. The combat is definitely a little simplified... but honestly that doesn't bother me as it makes it more immersive to have fewer reasons to pause.



Graphics-wise, PS3 version really isn't terrible. The dialogue scenes and in-game cut-scenes are actually very pretty sometimes. It's clear they did some enhancements here vs the xbox version, which a friend has. Textures higher res, and colors a little more vibrant. I'm sure on a monster PC would be best.

Consoles were only ever ment for arcade style and sports games. PCs will forever dominate in all other categories.

installing it to your hd makes a major difference

On the dashboard where you would launch the game; instead of pressing A to play it, press Y for the game details. Install to hard drive is an option.
