I know it would have ruined the game, but what I wouldn't have given for my noble to have had the chance to ignore her mother's warnings and plunge head first into battle seeking out Howe until she can slaughter him where he stood. (Seeing as how tough he is... it probably wouldn't have worked actually.)

That would have been no fun. My main complaint with the human noble story was that when you finally confront Howe there is no dialog option that goes "My name is [charname] Cousland. You killed my father. Prepare to die." Because that would have been so epic.

This reminds me of D&D based games where certain plot essential characters died, and you wanted to say, what are you guys all sad about we have a cleric right here, or a temple to (insert D&D deity) around the corner, lets just go get them ressurected, no problem (like Gorian for instance )

Actually, if they had remade that scene  while fighting Arl Howe it would have been epic.

PC gets stabbed many times....dying....
game pauses and a conversation choice comes up...
