Murdering him wasn't nearly satisfying enough.  I wanted to torture his family in front of him then kill him over a period of 12 days by having him bleed out through tiny cuts I made with an unsharpened steak knife.  I would have given his daughter an out if she could muster up the courage to kill both her parents, but if she couldn't she was first to get tortured.

I take it you didn't play a "good" character then, did you? Because that sounds more like a psychopath.

I already said, "chaotic neutral."  My human noble sided with the reavers but freed the elven slaves instead of taking a constitution boost.  The Howe's had it coming though.

Altough I love DAO I think the scene with Howe could have been a little more dramatic. I was dissapointed that he dies during your fight with him. I think it would have been far more satisfying had he attempted to surrender when his health got low enough, triggering a cut scene where the wounded Arl begs for his life, and your character gets an execution cutscene depending on your response. (sort of like how Zevran, Loghain or some other NPCS can be killed in cutscenes through choices in dialogue)

A good Howe is a dead Howe. Total win.
