I said this in another topic about that terrible reveal, BioWare spent more time on Allers' face than one of the main characters. Any integrity they had went right out the window at that point.

I think the "photo ending" was acceptable with the destroy the geth option(minus the lack of originality with the photo). But I think it would have been better if you were able to save both the geth and the quarians, then you would be able to unlock a new appearance for tali. Something simple would be fine, like just her face mask replaced with one of those clear breather masks that Liara and Samara wore.
Maybe something for a DLC?

I agree Rocket, I truely do...I said earlier that since they pretty much dragged the question in that video I watched from PAX...they lost all faith in me....they may have MORE supporters and cosumers, they lost me I pick games for its Art...again like I said I'm an artist like some of you but I take it very seriously...the art in ME3 was horrid...especially Tali's face...just horrible.

Yup, and they invented a third, much worse option: lazily slap something together in five minutes and put it in the game.

Honestly I think they were either intoxicated, inebriated, or stricken with a bad case of idiocy here. If you are out of time and can't do it justice, CUT THE PROJECT. Fall back on your fanbase's readily made excuse (keep it a mystery!) and call it a day.

What they did was ignore a perfectly reasonable option in favor of making something destined to ****** off the fans. It Makes. No. Sense.

GOD a DLC unlock of a new face would be such a GREAT idea...like seriously...that would make me so very happy.

It seems that they wanted the Tali face reveal to be something special for "Talimancers," so no one else would see it, but in the end this was their undoing. You see, in all of the Mass Effect games, Bioware has shown that they are unwilling to devote significant assets to any area of a game that will not be experienced by the majority of players. Because only a minority romanced Tali (or any other character), they didn't put too much effort into it.

The same thing is true for the other love interests, although it is less annoying because nothing was as hyped up as Tali's face reveal. For example, I was pretty annoyed that after remaining loyal to Liara throughout the series, my Shepard got railroaded into the same "let's make you my official LI" conversation that everyone else got. She literally told my Shepard "you're a good friend." Mind you, this was after I "rekindled" the relationship twice since the end of ME2 (once in the Lair of the Shadow Broker and once on the Normandy in ME3).

But again, the Talimancers got it the worst. I really don't think it would have been too much trouble to make a model for her face during a single cutscene. They could have even outsourced that. The fact that they couldn't even make a decent photoshop image is ridiculous.

That picture you posted (it's great btw). I'm willing to bet more effort went into that, than the initial stock photoshop.

The idea of the photo is a good one from a character point of view, albeit not as the way to reveal Tali's face. A photo of her, on her homeworld, without her helmet on, would be a very touching gift of what would be a hugely significant moment in Tali's life.

Yea I'm not watching that...its been a month now and I'm still very much unhappy...trust me I moved on..but the sheer thinking about this drives insane....you guys don't know how bad I want to trade my game in, I want to get rid of it so badly..but as soon as the FREE DLC is released for these so called  "Closures" I'm getting rid of it.

 To me the photo idea was solid but poorly executed.  I thought she was going to show us on Rannoch.  When I saw the photo I flipped and then the excitement was quickly replaced with confusion.

I felt pretty much the same; I wasn't angry or happy, just confused. "A photo...? Well, it's okay... I guess... I don't know...."

But after giving it a second thought and seeing how poorly it was executed, I become really upset.

totally open to DLC that has a rendured face for Tali. would pay for it to if it was good. so far I'm going with all the fan art for tali over the official bioware photo.
when the fans have a more compelling and emotional sceen of tali then they guys that made the character. there is something wrong

I have this picture of a Tali that a fan did from DeviantArt.com as my default pic on facebook, makes me cry seen this because this is what I should of saw in the game...man...maybe I should get some sleep to much thinking.

so they can scan Jessica Chobat into the the game. give her diolog and a about 5 min of screen time. but scaning in the VA for Tali and just modifying it for a 5 sec screen shot. oh nope sorry cant do that not in the budget.
sickens me.
