Thank you Bioware.

This, and I can understand where the OP is coming from. I expected, probably foolish of me, more from ME3, and not just the ending.

I'm just tired of dishing out $50-$60 for a game that doesn't live up to the hype presented. Too many of the games the past few years, especially that are a series, keep getting shorter and are filled with cinematics that take away from player involvement. Sure cinematics add to the game, but don't take away from my actual gameplay. If I wanted to watch a movie, I could have saved $40 and went to the theatre. I totally enjoyed the ME series, but ME3 just didn't make it for me in comparison to the first two. I put a lot of faith in BW, and it just didn't deliver.

You could play ME1 and ME2. When playing ME3 just make up your own ending if you don't like what you see.

There are even better games from EA, like Mirror's Edge.

How many "quitters" has it been now because of just one ending?

I remain confused as to how the ending can be *that* bad to make one hate ALL games. Pretty weird.

Not sure if serious...
... or trolling.

Because it's THAT bad.
Because we spent 5 years anticipating an end to this story, and that end turned out to be one where our main character is a coward, the universe we came to love is destroyed, and the narrative comes to endorse racism and genocide.

That is not something a lot of us can easily get over.

...Sooo..... because of a game ending, you basically stop playing videogames in general. And you stay for the rest of your gaming life on gaming forums telling everyone how bad ME3's ending was ? .. ?

And you people call yourself... what ? Gamers ?

I can understand how you feel TC. It certainly feels weird when you end up disappointed(especially when you have high expectations from something). I wouldn't worry though as you will eventually get over this.

Don't think too much about it.

KennyAshes wrote...

If 1 game gives you that feeling it means that gaming is to influencial on your life and you should stop or slow down anyways.

Sorry but who are you to tell if someone plays too much ? Do you really have to judge someone based on what he/she posts on a forum ?

PS. posting here completely undermines your intention to quit gaming and looks like a cry for attention over anything else.

Or maybe TC just wanted to share how he/she felt about it. Isn't the Mass Effect forums made for this exact purpose ? Discussing the game. If you have nothing to bring to the thread why do you even post ? The ones claim that others seek attention or often the ones attempting to start arguments for the exact same purpose.

Some people need to really get over themselves.

That's a bit extreme....Commander....

Sorry, had to say it.

I've gone through downer endings before, they can be survived.

Heck, the third game of my fave franchise ever ended on a cliffhanger & the franchise was...tadaaaaaaaa......canceled.

That was back in 1999. Still an avid gamer gal.

I may retire from gaming because I doubt another game could ever be that good.

Because that is NOT the reality and expectations of what a game *should* deliver.

Grow up. No really grow the **** up. there's worse games than this. Superman 64 and slot of other games from that era in gaming come to mind even Nes games. Some so broken that they where unplayable.

Coward? He died. Doing what you told him to do. So you are calling yourself a coward. I destroyed the reapers knowing I would probably die. I was wrong. I don't think that is a coward. Destroyed? What? We still have FTL drives and we still have mass effect drives etc. Have you not payed attention to mass effect lore? It's always been about that delima. Me1-3. My game did not end like that. On my ending only reaper tech was destroyed.

If one movie was bad are you going to give up in war gong movies?
A car was bad. Are you going to give up on cars?
A book was bad. Are you going to give up on books too?

I will say it again grow the fell up.

gaming is being on a decline for a few years now and it gets worse with every release. Do you actually remember the days where there was no Day 1 DLC, no Online Pass, no Day 1 patches?
You bought a game, put in your drive and you started playing with no worries about game-breaking issues and if the game was succesfull you got a big Expansion Pack with a lot of new things. These days are over however since the big companys like EA and Activision took over.
Nowadays its only about getting the "Casual CoD Crowd" to buy your games, destroy the second-hand market with Online Pass and Co. and punish the honest buyers of your product with ridiculous DRM.

Theres a guy on youtube who explains what you're feeling. If you go out on the street, and take some random guy with you and say 'lets go to mine and have dinner' and he does and afterwards you notice your fancy shoes are gone, you have noone to blame but yourself. But if you let your friend in for dinner, and your shoes are gone, and you ask your friend and hes like 'yes i took them but you can't have them back, they're mine' then you would ofcourse feel bad because you were betrayed, if that makes sense

just buy witcher 2, the makers of that game are an example to all other game makers of what it means to look after your fans

Can you play a female in Witchers 2 or is it just a male role? Should we try to read the book to understand the story in the game? I know there is a book but never read it.

Hey guys, lets compare products with a lot less interaction to a video game series that relies completely on interaction

>implying a car = video game
>implying a movie = video game
>implying "broken" = a ruined story

Why don't you just keep your demeaning comments to yourself and let people vent about something they don't like on a forum, which I believe are designed for that purpose.

Thanks...

I'm actually kinda with the OP on this one.

Looking at the games coming out in the times ahead, I'm not really that excited anyway. I've been sitting on my computer all evening and I'm don' t really feel like playing anything.

I gonna get that motorcycle license instead, spend the summer cruising around on my bike instead. Get a new job, make some new friends.Have a good time.
