Ceased reading at this point. Throw your console out of the window, please, and watch some Crysis 2/Battlefield 3 PC gameplay video.
Can't believe you're a PC user. ME3 graphics are just like in HL2, which came out in 2004. Excluding the faces. The fire and water shaders, however, are far worse.

YES !!!! I am a PC user, and PROUD TO BE !!! I sometimes use PS3, but I do not like it. I still used Dreamcast, but do not like it. My FAVOURITE way to play is on PC (and has always been).

As has been said, ME1-3 was the entirety of Shepard's story.

We'll definitely be seeing more games in the universe, though. I'd be glad to see some prequel action during the first contact wars or something.

I wonder if they'll stick to the basic gameplay formula, or pull a Halo Wars and do an RTS or some other genre. I'll probably eagerly pick any of them up. I love the universe they've built, and continue to respect Bioware even if they made mistakes in the past.

As far as the timeline, I'd rather see a prequel or something significantly further forward in time. Look at the Dune books, set 20,000 years or so after current era. I don't see a reason that, given enough time, the species of the universe couldn't pull together enough knowledge and resources to recreate the Mass Effect relay, or some other form of fast travel.

It'd be hard to scale back our expectations to a single planet or system after three games of such sweeping galactic drama, but I suppose it's feasible.

Edit: The reason we're getting Halo 4 with Master Chief is because Bungie isn't at the helm anymore, so their desire to end MC's story was overridden once it became someone else's story to play with.

How about a first person shooter simply titled "Alliance Marines"? Go tear up some turians...

If some of you want to see other pics, I publish them in my photo album "Mon Mass Effect" (in my profile). I just started it a few minutes ago and I'll update it everyday :)

By the way, can someone tell me how to make screenshots of the game? I wish I had images of my character, Abi Sheppard. When I do a capture of the game, the image is black. Thanks by advance. ;)

Download FRAPS ;)

The problem with a prequel is that one of the greatest things about mass effect is that choice matter (until that... ending). If ME4 takes place before the others how can it have meaningful, large scale choices?
If it is a prequel, most choices will either have to be character related and not have a large effect on the ME universe (which doesn't sound that bad, but its still abandoning one of the core attractions of ME); or no choices at all, in which case ME will have to work very hard to get my money
In regards to a sequel, well... that destruction ending where Shepard breathes seems a awfully reminiscent of halo 3's (anyone remember "Finish the Fight"?)

Funny you bring that up, Halo had a bittersweet ending, but unless you finished the game on legendary you got that Halo 4 makes sense. However, ME3's ending is, well... just plain confusing and near impossible to set into a sequel, unless BioWare picks destroy, synthesis, or control as canon.
But again, I find it funny that Halo 3 and ME3 had the same situation (hero dying, with an alternative ending if requirements are met) but Halo had a much better ending.

I think new Mass Effect sequels with Shepard are a great idea. It's not even unusual in literature for you to have multiple chained trilogies. A new trilogy starring Shep, perhaps set 5 years later or something after some down-time with her LI, would be great!

It wouldn't be hard to come up with opponent(s) that make sense. It wouldn't be hard for them to write a good story that makes sense, and get us all interested in it, *IF* they fix the ending to ME3.

A prequel would be a bad idea..I can't speak for others, but I wouldn't buy one, I have no interest in that. I'd love to continue the story with Shep though.

@greggm2000, I totally agree! I've been using the same femShep since Mass Effect 1, and I definitely would like for her story to continue. I honestly believe that even if the Reapers are gone, then Bioware can create new enemies. I hope they do have some more ME games come out soon (e.g. new full games and not just dlcs); I'm thinking that Bioware must be planning on something if they told us to keep our ME3 save files.

@AbiShepard, your Shepard looks a LOT like mine. I played Mass Effect (all 3 of them) on the PC, too. :)

It was originally supposed to be a trilogy. I hope it ends here. Can you imagine what the ending of Mass Effect 4 would be like?

It would have 10x the speculation!

I wouldent mind a space RTS ala sins, but then its not profitable. I wouldent even be surprised now if it was an fps for the next game. Quite within there rights i suppose, but thats not why i play bioware games.

It remains to be seen if Halo can do it.  Let me put it this way,  The first Friday the 13th sold really well,  by the tenth,  everyone was tired of it.  We will soon see the same thing here,  personally,  I'd argue we're already seeing it.  Do Gamers really want a Halo 6?

For some strange reason,  the gaming industry seems hellbent on repeating the movie industry's mistakes.  Now we're well into working on the 1980's "Keep making the same movies till everyone quits buying tickets!" mistake.

As far as ME3 goes (And DA3),  they've burned all of their good will,  it'll be a really hard sell.  Now they have to produce solid quality,  and produce it inline with what gamers are expecting,  and it'll still be a slow seller because few are going to trust the professional reviews.

But honestly,  I doubt it'll happen.  They need to replace EA's CEO,  and quit trying to gouge customers.  I'm not convinced their going to do what they need to do to salvage EA.

I'd be interested in Mass Effect 4... but not at full price. It'd be a bargain bin game to me (along with any other future Bioware game).

But they didn't do so poorly to stop playing their titles completely...

What you can do, assuming you haven't finished the game yet, is to hold off attacking the Cerberus Base, keep enjoying the game, scanning all the planets, raising your EMS points... And pretend like it's already over.

Then, come back to the priority missions when you feel bored enough. I stalled for two weeks before completing the campaign and was only mildly disappointed. I completed it a second time and I'm pretending like it was all a dream.

I actually did finish ME1, ME2 & ME3. So I've still made my raid on Cerberus base, scanned the planets, raised my EMS points (several times, as I made ME3 completly many times). But thank you very much for the advice Daennikus... Merci beaucoup ;)

I'm not against the idea, but I don't know how to make the facecode, I'm sorry. If I knew, I'd give it to you. Thank you very much anyway :):):):)

Should be inside your squad screen. Just above your character picture. A bunch of Alphanumerics.

The face code is right there in the character screen where you allocate stat points. This way you can, y'know, copy it for another playthrough with the same character...
