@AbiShepard, your Shepard looks a LOT like mine. I played Mass Effect (all 3 of them) on the PC, too. :)

So you know how I feel when the game suggests she dies...:(

I look at the last 15-20 minutes (after a certain scene during the game) to all be a dream. I'm not sure if it is, and Bioware isn't confirming or denying whether those last few minutes support a certain theory (I'm trying not to give out any spoilers for those who haven't finished the game).

Well if ME4 was set after ME3 I don't know what they could do.

Either fight starvation on earth/colonies/other war-torn planets if you destroyed/controlled or 'Fight off cannibalism or energy drain' if you Synthesized.

I mean with no Mass Relays the systems are pretty isolated and since the galaxy has never been able to 'reproduce' the Mass Relays (including all the cycles before Humans) I am assuming it'll still be a LONG LONG LONG time off especially since we have only gotten thus far off the backs of the Protheans.

I say let the ME Universe Die. I hated the ending of ME3 but it does neatly 'kill' the series. I'm actually pretty upset/appalled that they are making a 'James Vegas' animation movie. Then again I didn't care for Vega nor anything he did failing against the Collectors.

I watched a video from "AngryJoe" on YouTube where he read from Bioware or Mass Effect's Twitter page (or from somewhere) where he talked about the Ending DLC that's coming out this summer. Bioware stated that the Mass Relays can be rebuilt from Reaper technology depending on the ending that you chose. They also said that no one starves to death.

As for Vega, I thought the same thing when I heard they were making an animated movie about him. I like Vega, but not sure how a movie based on him would do.

Well with Vega they say it's 'Earlier in his Career' when he's on the mission against the Collectors...

Only problem is I think ME3 takes place within 2-3 years after ME1. So we are talking about less then a year before the events of ME3. I think ME3 starts 6 Months after Arrival which happens after the Collector Base.

As far as using Reaper tech to rebuild the relays. I guess I could buy that.

I didn't buy the indoctrination theory till I watched this.

Either way... I wish Hollywood was capable of making good Video Game Movies... Max Payne was horrible.

The way they progressed so far, ME4 will probably be an auto dialogue fps where you get no choices at all.

Ya, for me to enjoy fully another ME I want it to revert back to a form closer to ME1.

Also I think a prequel wouldn't ne intriguing considering you already know the ending and how all the choices you are making are either set in stone or dictated by your trilogy.  I would love another ME game but they need to make it in the correct time period

I think the trilogy has established enough characters and sidequests (Aria retaking Omega, the First Contact War, the Rachni Wars, the Prothean demise) on which to base furher games playing in the Mass Effect universe. I do not see any compelling reason to break the initial promise of the trilogy: Mass Effect 3 is where Shepard's story ends.

I really hope they make use of their cooparation with DC/Dark Horse in order to learn how to spin interesting stories out of a base mythology, but my expectations are low: the conclusion of the Reaper Wars is so uninspired that it can only mean BW has lost both interest and mojo; the modified Red Ending where Shepard survives clearly indicates that EA wants to turn this into a continuing space soap opera that will eventually fizzle out due to total exhaustion of writers/public/cliches.

But it was a great ride up to Marauder Shields.

Mass Effect 4? No thanks. What else is there to do with this setting? Completely destroy every star in the Milky Way until there is only a huge cloud of gas where the Milky Way once was?

The idea is not to destroy the Milky Way but to protect and defend it. It seems to be a long time you haven't play to Mass Effect, Siansonea II B)

Huh? The individual clusters are cut off from each other, sure -- clusters separated by primary relays, anyway -- but each individual cluster should be able to rebuild just fine. At 12 light-years to the day a mass effect starship can reach hundreds of stars in a couple of weeks.

There's a lot of things Bioware can do with the series. They created an entire Universe with much backstory. Here's a thread I did for: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/323/index/10587109

Also, remember what Admiral Hackett said about the Yahg and how the Reapers were ignoring their homeworld. Since they were "advance" enough. Sounds like BW was hinting that they'll end up being a problem for the next cycle - similair to the Krogans

ME4 means they have to pick one of the 3 endings as canon, so it probably won't happen.

Make the destroy ending canon, Shepard survives to start another trilogy,Simples.

If Bioware is to continue into the mass effect universe I would assume the story line would take place prior to the destruction of the relays; most likely history based for ME series such as Rachni wars or something of the like. Or they could remake the ending and have an endless amounts of possibilities...

I find this odd.
First they go out of their way to force this "you have to destroy the relays in order to break free from the reaper influence on the evolution of organics" mentality down your throat.
And then they go out on twitter and say "Oh the relays are fine! They can be totally rebuilt using reaper tech".

Okay....

Mass Effect 4 will still feature Shepard, only this time will awaken from a stasis pod 50,000 years in the future (as the last human alive) to help the Yahg, Pyjaks, and Space Cows fight the Reapers in the next cycle.

****...I shot all the pyjaks (the monkey things, right?) in ME1 and ME2.

Well, I suppose you'd end up losing a Pyjak War Asset then. Or they just reproduce so fast that it wouldn't make much difference. :)

I love how people are saying they would have to pick a certain ending to be canon. No they don't! They could do what they did in 3, Have the same scenes, just a little different. Destroy: Have shep live and the reapers destroyed. Control: have they same scenes as "destroy" just with some reapers floating around in the background and shep is rebuilt again. Synth: have the same as "control" just with everyone with green circuit board crap on them and the reapers are red ( because they fused with giant squids and lobsters). Or better yet, they could reskin Gears of War and have shep die regardless (omit the breathing in the "good" ending, it was just him twitching). This way you could be James Vega ( reskinned marcus ) and it could be shooter only!

I wouldn't buy it regardless of how many perfect scores it got.

I don't think there's any chance for sequel in Mass Effect universe, but prequels or side stories could make sense.

They've already found a way to continue, by saying that the galaxy community is still pretty lively and is not finished

What if there were still reapers outside the galaxy (did they call it dark space?) Would they have been influenced by any of the endings? This really can go anywhere. The touchiest part would be Shepherd.

Also, now that I think about it a prequel would be really easy and could be made epic across multiple games....basically what, when, where and why - Reapers. Their origins, etc. Then when that trilogy is done it would synch with ME3 and we get shepherd back for ME7 lol
