This is obvious no matter if you romanced her or not.. She's a jumpy fan that clings to Shepard.
In otherwords she's madly in love with shepard, Shepard is the center of the universe and the one beam of light in here existance... And she wants to share it with Shepard... that's about it I guess.

Alright for those who romanced her, maybe a bit strange for those who didn't, although I'm not entirely sure what happens in this situation if you didn't.

It's pretty much the same for non-romances, but she puts her head on your shoulder instead of kissing you.

Is that a guess or is it lore? I ask because I want this to be the case. Sounds like the better explaination to me. I do however prefer the holo-Shepard that she made. Although she could have made it say "You're one hell of a looker, soldier".

This. It pretty much confirms what I have always believed, that Liara still has warm fuzzies for Shep even if you quite clearly reject her in ME1. And draw the line at friendship in ME2. Um, and ME3. Hope springs eternal when it comes to unrequied love (sorry, Liara, but...I mean, come on. Garrus!). I agreed to the merging thing 'cause it seemed like a nice farewell, but it did get kinda cozy inside her consciousness (is it hot in here, or it just the implied mind rape? lol)...
Edited for me forgetting the proper use of the space bar, apparently.

I think it was them concieving a child together. Why else would after shep talks about blue children in ME2, then Liara mentions them agian at the end of ME3.
I took that as Liara referring to all of the asari children that would have looked up to her. They were going to be "big goddamn" heroes, after all.

It's what she said right before she did it.

I kinda felt bad that it happened right after Shepard said goodbye to Ashley, but Liara kinda forced herself on him, right? I mean, how was Shepard supposed to know WTH she was doing?

Yes, those are annoying too, but this is perhaps the 10th thread I have seen about "Liara´s gift".
And still there are people who just can´t understand that melding is not always about breeding for an asari. It´s like many haven´t even payed attention to what happened in ME1 or the dialogue.
I have just given up, explaining it.

I know it's something Asari do with close friends, either she herself says it in ME1, or it's in the Codex somewhere, and that she says explains it in terms of you 'sharing memories' , the full details of which I can't remember.
That part about it being a moment of peace in clarity is just interpretation. The two of you, alone, no other noise, just emptiness.
This just seems the most obvious way to explain it, something that's completely plausible given past information.

I hate when I can´t keep the promises I make. *Sigh*
Liara says right before she offers you her "gift" that it´s something the asari do with close friends and bondmates.

Well, it's made more confusing because we're told Liara's sharing memories, but we see no memories.
We should have got a scene of little kid Liara digging up Armali Park looking for ruins.

To be fair, I don't think most people are trying to be redundant. There are new posters every day making threads like these because they just finished the game. If anything, the fact that other people are noticing the same patterns that those of us who rushed through our pre-order copies have been discussing for weeks is a testament to the pervasiveness of the weak plot points.
