Is it possible to register ME1 to BSN so that I can have it on Origin and finally be able to install the game without using the discs?

You need to ask EA directly. I don't think there's ever been a digital version by EA, but I never wanted any such.

No. ME1 came out before BioWare allowed you to register their games to EA Download Manager (now Origin). If you want a digital copy on Origin, then you have to buy it in the Origin store.

You used to be able to register ME1 on the old BioWare forums to get the Bring Down the Sky DLC. But that site was hacked and is now closed. You can still download the DLC but you won't get a key.

You can't register it on BSN, but you can register it on Origin. I needed to drop an email to EA's support, but it worked.

I bought a PC version of ME1 and found the code inside the box. Then I went to https://activate.ea....meactivation.do
and linked the code to my account using the same email address as on my Origin account. I then went to EA's help desk and left them an email where I inputted my product code in the designated text boxes and everything, explaining that the registration on the site seemingly worked but I had no game in my Origin client.

Some 30 minutes later I got this email;

Hello Emma,

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.

I understand your curiosity to play Mass Effect, I assure you my support to get this issue resolved. I have reviewed your Email and I understand that you are unable to add the game in Origin Account.

As requested, I have manually entitled the game (Mass Effect) in your Origin Account (*snip*). Please login again and let me know if you still face trouble with this.

If you require further assistance about this or any Electronic Arts games in the future, please feel free to email us again. You can also visit our website and review our extensive self help Knowledge Base (http://help.ea.com).

Regards,

And what do you know? There it is, in my Origin right next to my PC version of ME2 and SWTOR =) EA support has always been very useful to me, don't see why they get so much hate when they're one of the more helpful ones in my experience ^^

I didn't buy it through EA, but I did purchase a digital version through Direct2Drive (now part of Gamefly), and I can download it through their download manager.
