Firstly, I have just found this so I don't know if this is a one-off fluke or can always be repeated.

I have amalgamated a number of ini mods from various modders into one mod.

This mod allows

Samara and Miranda outfits to be worn as casual and armour for femshep
keybind to allow arias outfit on normandy
keybind to load armour locker
Jusupov's streaming with sounds mod

When femshep was on Normandy I disabled the sounds mod, loaded arias outfit with the keybind and was able to converse with characters in a visually agreeable outfit.

I start the game with TexMod with Leorage's asarisuit_blackdarkred and a modded miranda outfit enabled

I decided to try to woo Miranda. So I altered the savegame file with the gibbed editor, the only field I changed was the gender field from female to male. I reloaded the save. My femshep talked as a male but had a horribly distorted face, HOWEVER I was able to load the casual Samara and Miranda outfits and have sounds..something I had not been able to do previously.

I saved the game again and changed the gender back to female...the face returned to normal and the casual outfits are still selectable and have sounds.

If others could experiment with this and post, it would be appreciated.

Have been able to get this to work repeatedly now without changing femshep's gender. It's real simple, but you need a keybind to load the armour locker.

You have to make your changes on the Crew deck of the Normandy for some reason. The changes will stick for other decks.

However when you exit the Normandy you will be in default armour, so you will need to save, load the sound mod and reload the armour for femshep.

I have no clue as why you can make custom outfit changes with sound on the crew deck and not elsewhere and have those outfits and sounds stick for all of Normandy. Seems bizarre, but it works. Better brains than me can work out the how and why.

Now if we can find a way to make custom armour stick at the same time without having to save and load the sound mod outside Normandy, all would be fine with the world of ME2.

Found it.

Another simple keybind that will load Samara's outfit in any deck of Normandy and as armor outside Normandy

Page won't fully display all the ini changes

Here is a link to the mod

www.mediafire.com/

I used Leorage's Asari suit found here:-

social.bioware.com/project/2119/&v=gallery#details

Load the mod with Mass Effect 2 Ini Mod Manager

Start the game with TexMod with Leorage's Asari suit enabled.

Press Numpad 2
Press Numpad 1
Select outfit

Then you can have this outfit with sounds on Normany and as Armor

imageshack.us/photo/my-images/515/raven8.jpg/

Again all credit to all the other modders work, I just copied and pasted most of it.

Let me ask one particular question: are you able to run the Mod Manager and TexMod at the same time and if so how? I could never get them to cooperate so I have not used the mod manager due to using A LOT of texmods. I however do see the benefit of this greatly for those who do use the MM. I believe that mods like this for the MM would be a good thing to do for the other squadmates as well.

Here is a good location to get all the information for the other squadmates:

You only have to run the mod manager once to change your coalesced ini file. Those are permanent changes, (thats why you need to backup your coalesced ini file) and the ini won't change again unless you load a different set of mods with the mod manager. You run the mod manager before you play the game. But you only need to run mod manager when you want to change whatever is already loaded. Theoretically, you could use mod manager once at the start of the ME2 saga and never touch it again.

(Note: Any time you run the mod manager, it will load exactly what mods you have enabled. Anything previously enabled will be removed unless you enable it again)

The mods loaded by Texmod are temporary, and must be loaded each time you play the game. You actually boot the game up via texmod. The mods loaded by texmod are normally cosmetic texture files which change the appearance in the game for certain things. i.e. changing the colors of an outfit, changing an npc face, etc.

The thing you have to watch for with mod manager, is that some mods may try to use the same values for different things, for instance 2 different mods may try to use a keybind with the same numpad key. Or one mod may turn streaming video off and another may try to turn it on.

Samara's loyalty outfit works in casual, but It only shows up as red for armor, any idea why?
