At first I liked her because she was an archaeologist (I'm studying anthropology, so close enough), then as the gamest progressed she became the best character by far. I really like her.
What is so great about Liara?

I started to dislike her in ME3 because of the autodialogue that forces shepard into saying something too flirty if she's not your LI. And what do you know, even if she is your LI she wants you to tell her 3 times, throughout the game, that you wan't to be more than friends! What's up with that!? After ME1 and ME2 that just doesn't fit in.
They should've let shepard bring it up instead.

It's funny that you say that. Liara does the same during ME1.
At least with some others LI there is flirt from both parts.

I liked Liara in ME1. She and Tali were my favorite characters. Then, I liked her less in ME2, because she just... kind of became a ****. I thought LOTSB was overrated. Then she just started to suck in ME3. It became far too obvious that she just wouldn't die( when EVERY OTHER CHARACTER WOULD), her VA turned in a rather poor performance, and every other squadmate( apart from the Virmire Survivor) was so much better. I enjoyed the Time Capsule scene because it reminded me of old Liara, not the awkwardly voiced bipolar guilttripping hardass **** she became.

Daughters can be named Shepard too..
