I dont trust dragon age 3 after what happened to mass effect3. Bioware says alot of things and comes up shallow on promises. Ill stick with skyrim, no DA3, no dragon age anime, nothing from bioware. They are no more a has been.

Well,to each his own,I guess,we are all entitled to our opinion, certainly.

It would appear to me,however, that as far as the next DA title is concerned, the DA team is reeeaalllly trying NOT to explicitly promise us anything in case they are unable to deliver. Yes,on this thread,too....

And we do not make their lives easier, either, what with all the DA3 Xmas wishlists we come up with on these forums.
Just sayin`.   B)

I am sure they were missed. I,for one, enjoyed DAO waaaay more than the second installment, but guess what - others found DA2 more to their preference. And there are folks who liked both!  Insane,I tell you, absolutely insane....=]

But seriously, I would not be here if I did not care for the games Bioware makes.
We are entitled to our opinions regarding their products, and it is entirely up to us to decide if we remain invested,
but simply dismissing all effort on their part to improve our experience (by them actively listening to a mightily divided fanbase) is unfair and is not helping anybody.
Constructive feedback, however, might actually contribute to having future games most of us here can enjoy....:wizard:

And I will now try and correct the flight course back on topic.

Begemotka, you're kind of awesome. Image IPB

And to help get this thing back on topic, I'll just say that thanks to some potential consequences of "the Silent Grove" i wouldn't be surprised if Loghain appeared again soon in flashback form, from the perspective of someone who knew him very well. Maybe even a playable flashback in DAIII, if not just in the next comic. Image IPB

You are too kind...  I am awesomely nuts, that is for sure, but the rest...
Aaaw,thanks anyway !    *glomps*    =]

As for the Silent Grove : did not David say the comics were not canon? As in,there are characters (like Morrigan) and storylines that are just for the game, and the comics are kind of parallel universes? Some elements in there might be canon, though.

And,well...if I ever get to see that snarky bastard again,I would hope my PC will have a chance for real interaction with him, instead of the passive flashback kind of thing - TST was a flashback,in a way.

Ok,I confess : Dave of Canada and The Ethereal Writer Redux had this idea of him punching Orlesians and turning tables, you see...and that would be Awe-Som-O.   :o

I would be all for Loghain returning (though in part that might be because I love the actor's voice). I think he could have a sort of Sarevok in Throne of Bhaal kind of role where you can either force him into your service or influence some form of redemption in his story.

We already did that in DA:O

LOL. Let`s do it again.   =]  It would be so ironic. Especially if the PC is Orlesian  :P

Kinda.  I'm aware, I did give it a go on one playthrough.  It's just that it was so short and who's to say how effective it was.

If Loghain is alive he should certainly have a role/cameo in the game, perhaps as the commander of the Orlesian Grey Wardens.

You people have to learn to let go. That's why good things are milked to dead, people can't let go!
Loghain was a very interesting character who got what he had coming. That's it, that's life. Let's move on, shall we?
Unfortunately it seems we'll be moving on to Orlais, even though I'd much prefer we were going to Tevinter. Ah well, wishes don't always come true.

A statue or a position in the Orlesian grey wardens?

You mean like the Alistair moment in DA2? Yeah, that would terrible. Oh, sorry...

Yes, exactly like that. The people who such a cameo would be included to make happy wouldn't be happy with it anyway. So instead they get nothing. And fair enough, you know? Easier that way, anyhow.

Gamer entitlment? Am I right Gaider? Amirite?

I mean how there these little ****s ask for their choices to have more of an impact, especially such a big choice like leaving the main villain of the first game alive.

Gamers these days I'm telling you...

Personally, I think they should just scrap the import mechanic entirely and focus on choices mattering in each singular game.  Chances are saves won't be able to be imported into the next gen of consoles anyway, and that seems to be the DA focus.

Though I would like to see him return in person, it would be fun to see him having a statue somewhere having done some great deeds for the Grey Wardens.

Maybe his role coule be that of an old veteran Grey Warden and possible mentor to the player character having redeemed himself somehow since Origins (and not die of in the first hour like Duncan did).

Personally, I sympathized with Loghain's personality from the first chapters of DA:O when i started playing the game more than 2 years ago. I decided that Alistair had to be hardened in his personality and also be married with the equally strong in character daughter of the Teyrn, Anora, in order to be a worthy king and a strong ruler over the people of Ferelden after the end of the Fifth Blight. Despite Loghain's many wrong deeds and wrongdoings against the Grey Wardens, he was right to be suspicious and defensive against any and all moves that would come from Orlais, given this nation's reputation for hunger for power and expansion. Despite its appearance as the most powerful nation in Thedas, it is not the Empress that truly rules it, but its corrupt and decadent nobility (who I would compare them to nothing else but non-magical Tevinter Magisters). Given all that happened in Loghain's lifetime before the start of the Fifth Blight, I concluded that his actions are completely justifiable, and he deserves redemption and a chance to use his ability for commanding armies for the Grey Wardens. If not for Morrigan's Dark Ritual, I would have let him sacrifice himself to slay Urthemiel, but I was unwilling to sacrifice either him, nor Alistair, nor my Warden Circle Mage to end the Blight. I really hope to see him in Dragon Age 3, as well as Morrigan, both of them in major roles in the story.

Like Duncan far better to let the dead rest. It was bad enough that Leliana made a full recovery after being killed to death.I really hope he doesn't appear in DA3, let some one new appear instead or have a bigger role for some one like Stroud.

More people killed him than not, so it's a Leliana issue. Some people did kill her, but the majority kept her, and she stayed in DA2's DLC. Same would go for Loghain. It could be a Howe issue though, how Howe in DAO was an antagonist regardless of Origin. In the same sense, Loghain could serve a minor role if left alive, enough to be noteworthy, but not enough that people who killed him will miss out. Maybe if Orlais is invaded or something, mention him as one of the leaders.

I know a lot of people killed Loghain ( either Landsmeet or Ultimate Sacrifice ), but some of us didn't and I have to ask if Loghain will show in any sort of capacity for those that did not kill him, if the choice with him will have any relevance.

I wouldn't expect it to really play a huge role, but I think a cameo would be quite nice, perhaps a side quest where he plays a major role ( Kinda like Jack in Grissom, Grunt in the Rachni Mission etc. ). I know Loghain is mentioned if he is alive and Alistair is alive and there but still is there a possibility for him to be there in DA3?

I ask this because Loghain is by far my favorite Bioware character. I really enjoyed talking with him, fighting against him, fighting alongside him and his entire character is just very well crafted.

If Loghain showed up, I'd really rather have it be more than a quick "Hi! I'm Loghain and I'm still alive!" moment, you know? If we can't do more than that, I'd rather let it lie.

Yeah something like the King Alistair quest would be nice. Just long enough to see how he's doing, adjusting to life as a warden, that sort of thing.
