Since launch I have been forced to disable the Origin In-Game overlay in order to get my game to load. When I have the overlay enabled, the initial splash screens for EA/Bioware start to load, followed by a "Mass Effect 3 has stopped responding" error which gives me only the option to close the program. I've tried the steps in the sticky on page one that should fix crash on startup, and still the only thing I can do to fix this problem is disable the overlay. This is disadvantageous because it makes it impossible for me to join friends in multiplayer. Does anyone have any ideas as to what can be done to get this running properly? I appreciate any help.

I did have the same problem. I just had to Alt-Tab to Origin to join my friend's games.
Unfortunately, I now own a different computer to the one I was using before, so I can't help you

Thanks for the input, didn't realize I could join direct from origin. In knowing this, the problem has become a non-issue.
