I was fine with it not like she had huge ass tatas flopping in Shepards face or anything. She was pretty and I like pretty.

Helluva necro.

Well, I didn't like her body at all. At least give her a damn Alliance uniform. The saddest part is that if she had a body that wasn't sexualized, 99.9% of her dialogue would remain the same. I don't get the ME art department.

She has alternative outfits. Granted, I find adding clothes to her actually sexualises her more. (Also adds a decidedly unwelcome camel-toe if she wears clothes.)

I would have prefered if it was more androgyonous, more robotic and less organic. She's an AI why would she care about big boobs and ******? It was annoying.

Kinda expected all females to be all over sexualized though; just look at the preogression from ME1 to ME2- ME1 females all wore armour and helmets that would cover their whole heads. Then to ME2 where Miranda ran around in heels, Samara and Jack had their boobs hanging out out in vaccum and in ME3 with Ashley's plastic surgery and the imcrease size of all females boobs (lol Liara and Ashley)

:| Stay classy Bioware.

She doesn't. Give her a non-sexualized body and her dialogue would still be the same.

I honestly want Bioware to give her a damn Alliance uniform. Seriously, her personality isn't sexual, so are those huge ****** really necessary?

Female Gamer :D Nah, i wasn't bothered with it. Even when you notice the sexualization you completely forget about it as you play through, unless its very distracting...like Miranda's ass...that was ridiculous :)

Kinda like Miranda and her awesome disguise on the Citadel; all she did was take off the Cerberus logo on her outfit. I thought she was supposed to be smart?

The prospect of EDI in a body was fine. When I first read it in the leak, I was a little excited. Upon seeing how they decided to make her look, however... not so much. The oversexualization (and cameltoe... like, seriously... why even have that?) was a bit much. Although, I've almost come to expect it from Bioware. They create a race of magic blue space lesbians that look just like attractive human women, they try to make Ash more attractive, they put a highly skilled Cerberus operative in a catsuit and had a good portion of the camera focused on her ass, and Jack barely wore any clothing at all. Hell, even Allers is in some sort of odd spandex unitard. To say that I expect non-hypersexualized women to exist in the ME universe would be a lie.

OH GOD THE HELMETS. I'd almost forgotten about that. That drove me hog wild. How the hell do they ponce about in space in just a breather mask without freezing and suffering explosive decompression? For that matter where is the generator for the omni-tool on people with bare arms, huh?

(Guy here) I never understood the hyper-sexualized argument against EDI. The worst she has is the ******, which is mostly humorous. Would you rather she be over-weight, bulky, flat chested, or a smack to the face with the ugly shovel? People don't typically want to play as "physically real" characters because they want to be the ideal, all the while they want the characters personalities real enough to be able to relate to. Look at the guys in the game: massive biceps and pecs, no chest or back hair, abs, and perfectly sculpted. Yes, the women in this game are becoming more and more sexually attractive, but overlooking the males over-sexualization is doing a disservice. All in all, I don't mind it as it doesn't make me feel bad about myself nor is it to the point that it's as bad as Soul Calibur (refer to Ivy).

Oh common... although I have nothing to complain...my wife has EDI's body and brains.

I was unlucky before I met her, because the only ones who had a body like that are blondes and they were easy to get. after banging you could just throw them at the garbage.

Always wanted to have tried a redhead though...

It's not extremely sexual... it's just pixels ! Now I'm really wondering how many of you are jerking of while playing these games...

Get a life, meet some real good looking girls, if you are to ugly to get em, just draw your wallet and hire some....

Stop jerking of on videogame characters !

Hang on, let me get this straight - you think *prostitution* is preferable to pornography?

And you seriously expect me to believe that you are married?

As for the question, the problem is that it's immersion breaking. I literally couldn't stop laughing for half an hour after watching the reveal (including Shepard's fire(extinguisher)-in-the-hole antics). It's blatant "sex sells" at work.

Honestly, it's not that big of a deal. But maybe I'm just saying that because I'm a guy.

I'm a male, to start.

Honestly I think only shortsighted women take offense to it. (no offense).
I think sexualization in games of woman and men is a compliment and honor if viewed right.
Taking a quote from the great Jim Carrey in liar liar, beauty on the inside is something ugly people say.

Ok kidding aside, I feel that people who either have self confidence issues say negative things about sexualization in games, and that's both men and women. A self confident sexy looking woman probably has no problem with over sexualization in games or any other media.

I know I may sound like a jerk saying that but somebody has to be honest here.

Okay okay, I joke around too much I know...
