I'd have to say Mordin, he was a Hero.

Mordin, then Grunt, Legion(no copy/paste in the future, who programmed the Geth, Apple?) and then Samara and Tali(neither died heroically at all).

Kasumi died bravely for me in 2, she was blasted in the head closing the door on SM.

Mordin had, by far, the most heroic and saddening death.

I am the very model of a scientist Salarian..

Most heroic: Mordin closely followed by Legion.
Most "unneccessary": Samara. It is easy for the PC to stop her, and she only does it because of the strict Justicar code. I'm not saying it is a bad reason, but it feels slightly unneccessary.
Most dramatic: Tali. The whole quarian people basicly being wiped out, and then add her death on top.

Mordin. Thane had a pretty badass death too though.

Mordin, no question. That point where he marches up to the lift, gives Shepard a half-smile and repeats his earlier phrase 'Had to be me. Someone else may have gotten it wrong' was probably one of the most emotional scenes I've seen in a computer game.

Mordin - scientist, stage performer, special forces operator and badass, you will be missed. :(

Thane's end wasn't specifically heroic, but his actions most definitely were. I loved his little jab against Leng... 'that assassin must be ashamed of himself, prevented from getting to his target by a terminally-ill man who can't breathe...' awesome.

Grunt I would have said was joint second, but in my playthrough, genetically-engineered krogan supersoldiers do not die, they simply get hungry.... one of the main reasons why Utukku was one of my fave missions in the whole damn ME series.

Most heroic death? Easily Grunt. (But only if you didn't loyal him in ME2)
He fights the Rachni to the damn death so you can make it out of there in the most heroic damn scene in the game.

Mordin probably, though Ash or Kaidan's death on Virmire in ME was pretty heroic too. Thane's death was sort of sad. Mainly because Kai Leng's plot armour means he survives and because like a lot Thane fans, I'd hope we'd get to find a cure for Kepral Syndrome in time.
Otherwise, possibly Legion's sacrifice to free the Geth at the expense of their/its own life. That gets me a bit, especially when they point out Legion had referred to itself as 'I' just before uploading. I've never had Tali die...that way I don't have to see that rubbish photo.

Not had Grunt die in my Utukku mission...he's just too awesome to die, whatever decision I make about the Rachni (actually only killed the ME1 queen in one playthrough and felt bad after it).

Tali's photo has nothing to do with her suviving/dying. If you romance her, you get the picture. If you don't romance her, you don't get the picture. Simple as that.

One more vote for Mordin.

Oh in that case my poor infiltrator will have to see that rubbish photoshop job. Think I prefered the fan art versions, so I'll just close my eyes and exercise my imagination instead. I secretly wonder if my Tali considers throwing herself off a cliff after finding out that's what they made her look like...'I've waited 5 years for a face...and they give me that? Bosh'tets...'

She didnt really die. She just never uncloaks if you werent loyal to her. If you were loyal you would see her uncloak.

And for me,

It would have been Mordin or that other Krogan besides Grunt.

I never really liked Mordin, let alone use him, but seeing him do that...... I was screaming and crying :(
For the Krogan besides Grunt, you only get him if you dont use Grunt or start a defult(like I did first before I import), hi death by the Rachni..... made me tear as well. Was just perfect, what I like to see in a Krogan. FOR TUCHANKA! HRAAAAAAAAAGH!

I did want to see an Asari die on Thessia magnificently. Like something that rivals Thane's. That would most likely be my first :P

Thane

Though it irks me while he's fighting with Leng that Shepard and your other 2 squadmates just stand by and watch. I mean shoot at Leng, help out a little. >:(

To be fair, in that case, given the speed they were moving, Shep would have been just as likely to hit Thane (or even the Councillor) as he was to hit Leng. Holding fire at that point and leaving Thane to concentrate purely on his opponent was tactically the best option.

Mordin was best I thought. Legion just kinda fell down and croaked...not much to that one. Thane's death was just ROFL because the incompetent Leng was involved.

I'm only going to say Mordin because I couldn't bare letting Grunt die. Otherwise, Grunt.
