Dating services are the WORST. Talk about creepy, and putting labels on people. Two things that intelligent, self-respecting, independant woman are against. Not accusing your wife of not being any of these things, I don't know her.

But you... you need to stop thinking in terms of labels, or that any girl out there is available for socializing. Just because they're "hiding under a rock" doesn't mean that they're somehow not worthy of society. It's society that is not worthy of them.

(Not putting gamer girls on a pedestal, I don't know you and I'm not interested in being your friend just because you're female)

What is this, high school? I used to think like you when I was 20 "Oh, online dating is for losers!" I mean, what kind of immature comment is THAT?

Maybe you're lucky enough to work with mostly women. Me, in a tech field, I have not have a female coworker in 8 years. In my field, men outnumber women by at least 20 to 1.  If I'm going to meet a girl, I have to do it outside of work. Later, I went to college, there's supposed to be more girls than guys in college, right? Except that in Engineering schools, guys outnumber girls at least 10 to 1, so meeting girls at campus is out of the question. What am I going to walk up to a girl in the lunch line like a creep?

So what do guys like I do? At first I met girls at bars. Let me tell you something, meeting girls at bars is THE WORST thing you could do, and my recent divorce proves it. 

What the hell is wrong with online dating? I meet girls there that DON'T want to go to clubs, that just want to meet someone based on their qualities, and I'm interested in doing the same. 

My fiance has two masters degrees and is a PhD student at the number 21 ranked university IN THE WORLD, and she's hot, sweet, and loyal. SO DON'T YOU GO ON PASSING JUDGEMENT LIKE THAT. It shows how ignorant you really are.
