Finished my second playthrough tonight.

Thought it held up real well until the earth mission. THAT whole mission is awful. The objectives are bland, there's NO squaddie dialogue and the level design is lazy.

It's tragic when you compare it to the rousing finish of ME2: using your whole team for various tasks, the mounting drama as your push to the main chamber becomes more desperate, the fact that anyone could die at any given time...

By comparison, ME3's last mission feels slapped together and unfinished.

Seriously, BioWare should reconsider post-game DLC and give ME3 a real final mission. Priority: Earth is an awful way to end your trilogy.

Oh, and the endings are even worse the second time around.

Priority Earth would have been so much better if you hit a few different locales in order to disrupt the Reapers in order to access London.  Like how about a moon mission for fuk's sake?  or somewhere else like Tokyo?

But instead it just kind of rail roaded you into 2 missions. The first one was cool with the beam going off. But the cain ending and everything forward....just wtf?

Really, the only thing worth mention is Sheen's incredible performance as the Illusive Man, otherwise I nearly fell asleep with the blatant Call of Duty vibe before it, and the infamous endings afterwards.

Priority: Earth is where you can tell that they ran out of time to finish the ending and polish it up to the quality of the rest of the game. It's just not done. It needs at least 2 more layers of content polish and peer review.

It should start with your team and small group of spec ops infiltrate on earth surface, join with
resistance and pave the way to London (like in take earth back trailer) then destroy all AA guns
to clear a path for hammer while joker regroup with sword and start space battle in orbit.

Instead, we got all boring battle with horde mode, it's not even come close as epic battle with
only one small reaper on tuchunka.

The only good thing about it was all teh goodbyes at the FOB. eally I didn't think the final mission would trump the Suicide mission as biggest disappointment for me, Bioware proved me wrong big time. Oh well I still have Illos climbing the tower and getting Saren to commit suicide. Now that was a fantastic final mission.

I think the game started falling apart after Kai Leng beats you on Thessia. Since everything after that doesn't really compare to Rannoch or Tuchanka. How many people have favorite moments (that don't involve impaling Leng!)after Thessia?

That, as well as the ending. I genuinely think we should at least have boss fight of some sort against Harbinger. Otherwise even I would feel sorry for Harby, after being given such an important role in ME2.

Why'd you find the Suicide Mission disappointing?
Just curious.

Too easy, choices where not hard to make, way to short and was not really as epic as the Mass Effect conclusion imho because getting everyone out alive was just plain to easy. I was excited, my heart was pumpnig after the relay jump and the space bit, then once we get on the base it went downhill. Three areas in a massive base? REALLY? Also not to mention Thane had no role at all in the Suicide mission which makes it even worse. <_<

Yeah I do have to admit that I would have loved to do a mission in Moscow, Cairo, or any or other iconic city. I really need to quit thinking about this game I just get pissed thinking about the ending.

IMO everything that happens after you finish off Kai Leng is lame. It's like the real developers turned that part of the game over to their kids to see how they could do.

Priority:Earth definitely feels like a rushed job to me, My first playthough I remember having to turn my xbox off as I was completely bored at this point. It most certainly does not match up to ME2's Suicide mission.
The last mission to this game reminds me of KOTOR 2 in that its an unfinished mess. I just hope they'll address this with DLC

Really? I always take him with me (along with Samara), because of his Reave. It makes dealing with Harbinger easier.

I can see where you're coming from. I disagree, but I do understand why you felt it was a disappointment.

thats so true. It was fantastic. Especially seeing Sovereign sitting on the tower the whole time and realizing how small and insignificant you are compared to him

Interesting topic. I've just finished my 4th playthrough on ME 2. Man, the suicide mission is one of the best moments not just in ME but in all the games I've ever played. The commitment of Shepard and his/her crew, the tatic teams, the speeches, everything is just perfect and well planed. You feel the weight in every decision you are doing, and suffer the hard consequences for making mistakes by losing friends in the battle. It's just awesome. And the soundtrack... Suicide Mission theme is one of the best videogame tracks of all times (Jack Wall is a genius).

ME 3 Priority Earth?
STEEEVE>>>Shot some reapers>>>holo goodbyes>>>shot some more reapers>>>zerg rush>>>starchild and worse endings ever made waiting for you

ME2's final sequence was exceptional. Rumor has it they wanted to do more showcasing reaper development, but were forced to compromise due to constraints.

Priority earth doesn't compare to me2's choice based final run, but its far from terrible.

There are some highlights if you look for them. You say your final words with your squad, romanced Ash and Liara get amazing dialogue, The Cain explosion was pretty sweet, Morinth cameo, radio's giving you insight on everything from your partner companies to a civilian trying to dress a wounded soldier. You get insight on the living conditions for people on earth before and after the reapers hit london. We also have the final endless wave and the exciting run towards the beam with harby blasting lasers left and right.

Its far from perfect, but I still enjoyed it and then some, the first time around.

I liked the part where you had to prep those missiles. Probably the hardest part of the game for me, seeing as how my squad dies instantly.

See I disagree with you on that. I felt the whole missile section was very forced and was just there to extend the mission. Horde mode wasn't really fun, it just took forever and was very fiddly on insanity.
