I enjoyed Priority Earth up until the point when you go up the beam, after that it falls apart. But I wont get into that, enough people have already gone there, I'll reserve my opinion for another time but I will talk about the bloody cannon at the beginning of the mission. Seriously? Does it really have to shake the whole god damn screen so much that you can't even aim properly? I found that, gameplay wise, that part of the mission was the most infuriating and frustrating part of the mission. I wouldn't have minded the shaking of the screen so much if it had been a bit more subtle but as it is, it ruins the whole mission for me (again not including the ending).

The last mission would have been hugely better though if there had been some strategy involved on the players part, for example deciding where the different armies fight and who does what etc. I was a bit disappointed that we didn't have that opportunity in ME3.

Priority: Earth wasn't bad, but its ending certainly felt discordant. I loved the moment of peace at the FOB, and the interlude of the husk attack was a great pacing tool there, but I think it doesn't quite measure up once you start the final assault.

It's hard to make specific suggestions on how to fix it beyond making the ending better, but I think another cutscene or two showing the fighting would be helpful, and I think the flavor would be greatly improved by you fighting alongside the specific war assets you've acquired through the entire game. Fighting alongside krogan? STG? Spectres? With the ability to call in biotic artillery strikes or barriers (depending on your choice at Grissom) on a timer? Yes please!

I think it was awsome. However, most of people here need to grow the **** up, though.

I think Thessia did better at making you feel like part of a desperate war effort than Earth did. What with all the soldiers who you meet up with for a bit and they actually help you for a while. And then they die.

Earth, you feel too alone in the fight.

Why don't you say WHY it was awesome then, instead of making a completely useless post.

Then what do you think of the overuse of "Space Magic" and any other bull****, is that somehow very useful?

Yep, that's what I was trying to say, I think.  Though Thessia's ending was terrible.  If Bioware wanted Kai Leng to get the better of Shepard that's fine, especially since they had him "cheat", but Shepard should have climbed out of that hole and killed him after he transmitted the data to TIM.

Agreed OP. Blank slate from the moment the fleet enters the Sol system.

Suicide mission was a lot to live up to but Priority:Earth wasn't any worse than the end missions of many other RPGs I've played, Skyrim and KOA to name a couple.

A lot of people (with regards to the ending) said it was good until the laser or starchild.

I agree more with the OP, something felt off about the whole priority earth mission. The bit in the ship was just sillier than the rest.

Even the "goodbyes" seemed a bit contrived compared to the rest of the game.

For me, the entire game felt flat - I kept waiting to see some in-game significant effect from my prior decisions, and it just never happened. Then I got to the base in London and suddenly, for no discernible reason, everyone now knows that I am going to die and they're all saying goodbye. It felt completely forced and completely disconnected from the rest of the game. By the time I was hit by the laser at the end I was not surprised nor did I care anymore. It had become so obvious by then that nothing I had done mattered and that Bioware had taken over my Shepard that I just couldn't care. I only played through to the end to see if, by some miracle, they would give back control of Shepard again. Sadly, the answer was "no".

^ I forgot to touch on the whole "everyone knows you're going to die" thing that you mentioned.

That really did irk me on my second playthrough, too. Felt so forced and unavoidable.

Joke is on them, though! I took a breath just before the credits!

Oh, nevermind...

There are many things said that I didn't like in the london mission. Rannoch was ways better and Tuchanka. But I have to voice again that the lack of backgroundmusic like in the suicide mission was a big point for me to hat the finale of the series. I expected a great background theme like "the end run" but there was nothing that made it feel epic.

And I hated all the good bye stuff. it was good if you had war assets like 1029, but I had >6000 EMS so why didn't the people said "let's kick some reapers back into darkspace." that really pissed me off.

Definitely pretty terrible and obviously rushed. Even without the starkid and all that BS the last mission was the worst.

Earth was disappointing to me mostly because my war assets didn't really matter. I expected to see their involvement more and perhaps play a role in who lived or died. Instead they were used as nothing but a number to alter 1% of the final cutscene to something slightly different and open up a couple more colors of explosions.

The whole "horde mode" during the missile launch stuff was pretty lame and the mission really did pale in comparison to most of the rest of the game, but I didn't think it was awful until I got to the end.

Yeah I do have to admit that I would have loved to do a mission in Moscow, Cairo, or any or other iconic city. I really need to quit thinking about this game I just get pissed thinking about the ending.

"I was born in London."<_< Literaly made me facepalm, and how Shepard looks so sad after he said it was so stupid. Really Shepard you believe him? He doesn't even have the same accent as the British guy right next to him!

Only a fool would be impressed with the worst corridor shooting, wave based bull**** this trilogy has had to offer as the final sequence of gameplay we're ever going to get as Shepard. The final moments where you're defending the trucks could have been straight out of multiplayer.

Admit it as well, the part where Shepard has to crawl through the corpsed filled hallway in the Citadel was a brilliant part.

No, that was a "Wait, WHAT?!" part.

The Citadel is designed to be impregnable when the arms are closed and I had spent most of the game building up the Citadel Defense Force score.  Seeing all those bodies regardless of my actions was one of the first big disconnects in the ending.

The entire game felt like a half-assed effort, starting with the genocide trial that never was. At no stage of the game did I "buy in." And that's from someone who considers ME2 the best game I've ever played.

The best part of that was the fact he already told you that earlier in the game and shepard reacts like he/she didnt even know. Then theres that little pause after shepard response and your left going "and????" then it cuts away and your like that was pointless.
