I think you're skewing the numbers with selection biases.  There are thousands of characters in the game who's sexuality remains unknown.

Krullstar: there is an enormous difference between limiting sex when someone can't consent because they are too young to realize what's happening and one is using the other, and limiting sex because a third viewer feels jealous/offended.

Yep, I agree with you here, but it doesn't always take public displays of affection to be able to tell whether someone is gay or not. *Sometimes* it is fairly easy to guess someone's sexuality without them wearing a 'GAY' badge, I know a lot of people would argue with that though!

Complete freedom is not limited to desire to pursue ones own sexual desire. That is just allowing people to pursue what feels right to them. Your argument is stating that rules need to be made to protect against certain wrongs, yes, yes they do. There are laws that say a minor cannot engage in certain acts with an adult because they are too young and mentally immature (socially, not intellectually.) to understand or make sound judgments based on their feelings. Homosexuality is regarding two fully mature and normal individuals these people are no more likely to commit heinous acts than any hetero couple. In fact, most rapists tend to be heterosexuals, there is absolutely no correlation between homosexuality and deviation of the law. There is no reason to deny them or anyone the liberties we grant anyone else. the ONLY reason this belief is prevalent in society is because of procreation, nothing else.

Actually given that there is 10,000 marriages per year in MA with 1000 of those being same-sex. I would say that it is alot closer to 10% than 1%.

To me the funniest thing about this post is the implication that being "a conservative" is something to be ashamed of.  It sounded like saying, "I'm not racist or anything, but...."

The second type of conservative is the social conservative.  These folks tend to be against homosexuality and gay marriage, sex education in schools, abortion, and a number of other things.  Often, there stances are based on a skewed interpretation of one religious text or another.  The original poster was probably referring to this type of conservative.  Surely, you can see why he wouldn't want to be associated with them.  They're nothing more than bigots trying to oppress people who are different from them.

Creating a topic like this about gay sex, rather than sex in general, implies that there's something wrong with gay sex.  There isn't.  It's entirely natural, it's practiced by many different species of mammals and other animals, and it's accepted in a great many human cultures as well.  The sooner you all realize that gay people are still people, the better off we'll all be.

Zevran is from a land where the people make no distinction between heterosexual and homosexual relationships.  To him, such a distinction is strange.  That he hits on both male and female characters makes perfect sense.  If he didn't, we'd have a topic about how BioWare hates gay people.  That would be silly.

this is a pretty pigheadedly ignorant post.  first, there is almost nothing skewed about the interpretation of any of the 3 major judaic religions being against homosexuality, because they pretty much all are.  the skewed interpretation would be to believe they aren't.  also to call people against abortion bigots is a mind bogglingly ignorant attitude.

also if you're really honest about what most other cultures think, they aren't very kind either.

Nice education there. MA is Massechussets not Maine.

Also your point may have been valid if those numbers where from the first year same sex marrage was allowed but not when those numbers are from several years after. Not that many people are gonna travel to MA to get married when thier home state wont even recognize it anyways.

You know the section of the bible that is against homosexuality? It happens to be the section in which just about everything else is ignored. You know things like how women should be subservient and people should be stoned for wearing the wrong clothes.
