so just have to say it:  I felt really bad when I dumped him.  wasn't expecting it to be that hard.  for now I went back to a previous save and am avoiding the subject with him

I know how you feel. I'm male, and about half the time I want to slap him, but the other half I wish only good things for him. He is truly a good person who doesn't deserve the weight on his shoulders, and I really do want the best for him, even if he did call me a fat pig...
