Nice idea! I doubt we could get people to agree to do this every weekend, though. Maybe once a month?

May I disconnect the PC from internet and just play the SP?

I think this is a good idea. Its kinda like what a bunch of Half Life fans did on Steam a while ago. I participated in that, and I'll contribute to this as well.

I'm not a part of the Retake or Hold the Line movement, as I'm rather jaded with both groups due to actions I have witnessed from certain members, but I will wish you the best of luck. I've already sent in my criticisms to Bioware and will most likely take part in the "turn on, turn off" event to give Bioware the hint to focus on SP rather than MP for the time being.

I don't think this weekend was a good idea seeing as it will be an N7 challenge weekend, just saying.

You're right -- turning off and never playing is shooting ourselves in the foot because we can be written off if no one sees us. That's why we're coaxing people who haven't played in weeks to turn on the game Saturday so their voices will be heard.
I haven't played SP since I finished the game, and I haven't spent a cent on Bioware products since, even though I like MP. But I want Bioware to know I WILL buy DLC in future if the ending is fixed to my satisfaction.
For those who say: "Oh, you'll buy it anyway," actually, no, I won't. I can't think about playing the SP game at this point without feeling slightly ill. Unless the Ending DLC can help me to enjoy the SP game again, I won't play it. Or any SP DLC that comes out. There's no point in "saving Omega" just to have it go down in flames at the end of the game. And I won't be buying MP packs. I didn't even bother to download the free one that was offered 2 weekends ago.
On the other hand, if I love the ending DLC, I'll probably buy all subsequent gameplay DLC, and maybe an N7 hoodie. And if the FemShep statuette were any good and not oversexed bishoujou garbage (even though I *like* anime), I might buy that, too. And I'll probably buy the ME trilogy for my friend who hasn't played yet. That's the future I want, and it should be the future Bioware wants as well. They just need to see the upside to fixing the Ending properly, so I'm fixing to show 'em!
Let your voices be heard, everyone! <3
Good for you, but if I had a nickel for every time that I've heard that on the BSN and it turned out not to be true, I could be paying a sophisticated, erudite man in a suit to type this post for me on a gold-plated laptop. Now, you very well could be the first person to ever be serious about it, and more power to you if so, but I somehow doubt that it will turn out to the case.
But back to the topic at hand, especially when you consider an analysis of the number of people in this thread just posting over and over again, it really doesn't seem like you have that many people involved. I don't think BioWare will notice your traffic upswing at all except for the fact that you're making a public declaration of it in advance.
As for me, I'll just wait and see how it goes. You, of course, have the ability to prove me wrong if there are enough people who agree with you and really care. But cool analysis tells me this is unlikely.

I recently took a week away from the forums and it really helped me to regain a positive outlook. All the negativity on the forums can be a downer. Sometimes I wonder how the mods -- or any of us, really -- stand it.

How are you tracking what people are buying or not buying?
We have over 800 people signed up to take part on the FB events page and another 1400 invites out. That's pretty good for 3 days work. We're also starting to get some attention off the forums:
http://dailygamingne...ioware-weekend/
Again, I can't stress this enough: "waiting and seeing" is shooting yourself in the foot. I know trying is hard because then you become invested, which may magnify the disappointment if things don't work out, but NOT trying is a sure road to disappointment with only the mild satisfaction of being able to say "see, I told you it would suck."
Not trying = guaranteed moderate disappointment.
versus
Trying with chance of -> more severe disappointment or GOOD OUTCOME.
I know which one I'm going for!

Well, as far as I'm tracking who's buying and not buying, all you have to do is wait for the people who say that on the forums to show up on the forums for the next BioWare game with a registered copy on their account, still talking about it. But that's neither here nor there, so let's move on to the more important things you brought up.
My apologies, I have made myself unclear. I actually don't have a vested interest in your cause--I'm an outside observer. I would typically agree with you about taking action rather than not doing anything, but BioWare has already announced free DLC regarding the endings. You don't have any clue what's going to be in it in terms of content rather than speculation. If you're willing to act at this point, that's your perogative, but no one is going to thank you for it. Some advice:
Facebook and Twitter numbers for events like these typically tend to be inflated by usually at least 3 or 4 times, with outside cases having approximately 20-30 times inflation.
Even if everyone that you have signed up at this point participated at the correct time and did the same thing, 800 is a drop in the bucket in terms of the at least 1.3 million (possibly more) BioWare fans who bought the game.
What I'm driving at is that you don't have the people for what you're doing to matter. I would suggest brainstorming for an alternate method of action--at your current numbers, the likelihood of being anything more than a tiny blip on the radar is not exactly high.
