Boy, is this a much better idea than cupcakes. But it really needs a lot more gaming press coverage to reach more people.
And by showing how many people care about the single-player story, is there a message to be read in between the lines here? And is that message "Fans no longer trust EA to give BioWare the necessary time/resources to make and complete their games to fans' satisfaction."? Just curious.
This came to me because I was unable to play SP and took refuge in MP for a while, though I still didn't buy anything. I suddenly realized by playing MP but not SP, I was dooming the thing that I loved most, because EA was seeing me playing MP instead of SP and would then conclude that MP is a better investment.
Then I thought about all of the people who aren't playing SP but who won't play MP, and realized they're not being counted at all. Bioware doesn't know about all of the peple who are waiting and hoping that the EC will let them enjoy playing their Shepards again, because they're not logging in. This is to give them a voice.
I think the message I personally want to get across is that I miss loving SP, I want the EC to make me want to play again and that if the EC is poorly made I won't be able to play any more. And if I'm not playing, I won't be buying DLC.
I do have a suspicion that the reason this whole ending thing came about is that Bioware ran out of time/money to do what they originally intended. I don't want that to happen again.
