Last I checked they aren't changing the ending. And once the DLC is released it still won't be worth turning the game on.

*ARTZ*

That's exactly how I feel.  Which is way I'm going to do everything in my power to try and get them to change their minds and do it right.

Go, you! Even if this fails and unnamed bronies come prancing in here to gloat, at least I will feel I have done something instead of just accepting my fate. Shepard wouldn't give up, so how can I?

This is better than the fighting and arguing people do on the forums. It puts a number to give perspective. I'm in. We don't know if this is "useless" until we try. It's better than not trying at all.

Thank you, friend!

*ARTZ*

Last I checked you don't have a time machine or a crystal ball to know what EC does for the ending which means your opinion about it is as much of a pure speculation as an opinion of someone about the ending in its current form who didn't actually play the game.

I guess I'll continue that 2nd playthrough I started on March 9th. And I don't really care about "Operation whatever" with the phantoms. Those victory packs are garbage anyway.

People can kill Phantoms all Friday and Saturday, except for the time they're playing SP if they want.

Wow, you finished your first playtrough in 3 days?:o

Exactly! If someone loves the ending I'm happy for him. Or if someone disagrees with this initiative, I'm happy to discuss it. But sneering should be ignored. Soundly.:police:

Precisely! It's 100% cool if people accept or even
like/love the current ending, and its even more cool when we can discuss the matter with them in a civil manner.

I just take issue with these people who waltz in
every Mass Effect 3 ending thread to feed some weird compulsion they have to tear down those who are motivated, in trying to make the game we ALL enjoy, better.

Anyways you're right, the haters (on both sides) should be ignored. And I think censored by the mods if they continue to flame on. :bandit:

I think we've been doing pretty well so far! I expected to have to wear my asbestos suit, but I'm not even singed. I don't know how many people outside this thread have heard of this, though.

I think the apathetic people almost bother me more than the flamers, TBH.

Yup, we're all speculating! I just want to hedge my bets by giving Bioware a little nudge.

No more mashed potatoes, d'you hear me? We're asking for creme brulee!

Agreed! This is going pretty civil, It's nice to see a thread without a pointless flame war every other page.(If one does start though, I'm sure firefighters like Woo will clean things up :P)

And dont worry, I'm sure many ppl outside this thread have heard about the event. Especially with the Facebook page. =]

Thats true, the Apathetics (and Nihilists) can be even more unpleasent, although sometimes I can never tell the difference between them and the flamers. xP

I have a quick question, I stated earlier that I can't participate.

Well I can't participate in the "turn on" part, (won't have internet access on my Xbox at the time).
But I can participate on the 29th, I can keep the game off, stay logged out of BSN and then tweet #turnMEoff @MassEffect will that help?

While I certainly don't agree with the fundamental principal of the 'Re-take' movement (no matter how you dress it up, you can't 're-take' something that was never yours in the first place!)...I've got to admit that I am impressed by this campaign. It isn't nasty and vindictive, it hasn't been hijacked by keyboard hardmen who just love an argument/have a bizarre obsession with EA being the Devil's representative on Earth, moreover it's presenting a positive message from the fans in a constructive way to make your point. I won't be joining because again, I don't agree with the fundamental principal of your campaign, but I sincerely wish you the best of luck.

Thank you kindly! I believe the word "Retake" was chosen because it was used in the game ads (Retake Earth). It is possible to support this initiative without supporting Retake. If you find you support the aims of the On/Off campaign, please play with us on Saturday! :)

Good night all! Stay hopeful, stay civil, keep trying!

Dunno if I can stay away for full 24h of this forums - but I definitely have no issues with turning off ME3 at Sunday.
I'm trying it. Sometimes you have to sacrifice something to win more, right?

So my support is just 90% - damnit, I need you guys here. In one thing ME3 excels its predecessors: it brings people together. Never before so many came together. And never before we saw such an issue like this.

(Twisted Hackett is twisted)

In general it's a great achievement to get noticed by the press. I mean ... EA got voted to the worst US company? Well ... wow. Seems the fans are currently holding more power in their hands than customers of the Bank of America! Keep up the good work.

I would participate, but sadly I won't have any means of getting on Origin and play ME3 on this weekend... I'll tweet Bioware and prolly post on BSN anyways though to show my support :)

It is indeed a spectacular event, and even better that the gamers are startng to fight back against the EA menace(and possibly winning). In a way, it reflects the heart and soul of Mass Effect.

More good news is that we can still get together for the event on other websites, such as- http://www.holdtheline.com/

Feel free to hit me up, my user name is the same as this one. B)

No No no no no. this is not going to work, This is not how your protest.

If you want to make a statement you do not stop playing a game that is free to play. it means nothing.

What you need to do if you wish to make a statement is disrupt the weekend Operation. this turn of thing is so backwards.

What you should be doing is sitting in on ME 3. This weekend during the operation everyone should be loading up ME3 and then sitting in lobbies not readying up, or entering gold lobbies readying up and then sitting in the middle of the map. The idea is to get noticed. Switching off will just get you ignored.

Your aim should be to disrupt the weekend Operation as an act of protest. This would get you more attention, and generate better results.

Nooo...because that only disadvantages those trying to have fun on the multiplayer not Bioware or Ea and makes us all look like petulant douchebags. I think you'll find a lot can be accomplished by non-intrusive protest (Ghandi anyone?)

Can't remember if I previously stated my support so i'll do it again =)
