Turned off yesterday. No login on origin or BSN.
So, how successful was the campaign?

We may never know...

I counted about 575 tweets with the #turnMEoff tag in them, from when it started (about 4 days ago?) to last night at midnight.

Several tweets were repeats from some users that felt like spamming tweets would be a big help, so I'd estimate about 500+. Not a huge amount by any stretch of the imagination. And that doesn't count the last two hours. I went to bed.

Edit: Of course, as little as I know about Twittering, I could have no idea how to look up ALL the tweets. So :P.

There was enough that #turnMEoff was trending world wide for about 10 minutes yesterday.  I'd say that's pretty damn good considering that we only had a week to spread the word.

Good! I wanted it to succeed, and I had no idea how well it did. Just going by numbers. Thanks!

For future reference: We should try reddit.com next time for stuff like this. It would probably get lots more attention. How did FaceBook do? I have no idea to check how well that went.

I know there were posts on the FB event page all day long, there was over 150 between the time I went to bed Saturday night and when I got up Sunday.  I don't know anything about reddit, but I do know it was posted there, I spread the word as much as I could on twitter.

Oop. I didn't really get the part about staying off BSN yesterday :pinched:

Anyway, held the line both days - on then off. Yesterday I picked up on an old half-played ME1 career and Twittered that I was doing so to support the original ideals of Mass Effect

Just to be safe there it might be good to have at least another turn on and turn off event, so that they know it's not just some one-time only thing they can pass off. Maybe give it a bit more time to gain followers.

This I agree with,  it might be a bit of a stretch but maybe we could have a couple more turn on/off events, each gaining more followers then the last and each a bit longer then the last.

What I'm worried is if we just did it this time EA/Bioware could say "Oh there was an Origin connecting problem for some ppl on Sunday, thats why werent on" or something just as idiotic.

I think we should do it every month till the EC comes out, if we make it the last weekend of each month that gives us a month to get the word out for the next one..

Participated but didn't have twitter.
Somehow I doubt I was the only one in that situation.

Played the first part of the SP campaign as far as Mars on Saturday, then kept it off all day Sunday. I even signed up to Twitter to tweet bioware and EA. Twitter is horrible though, doubt I'll ever make use of it again.

Did anyone else notice that they stopped updating their twitter feed on the front page last Friday?
It's back up now.... But not a single tweet from this protest showed up.

I don't know how twitter works (I made an account just for this), but I found that to be really odd.

Yet they like inconsistent narrative wich destroys the lore...

I'm going to... fall and die over there...

I had intended to play from a new game on up to Tuchanka or so, but I couldn't get past the character creator and the terribly creepy and borked eyes. I thought they fixed the import issues? I left ME3 open for a couple of hours and while I played ME2 instead.

I know, right? Interesting how their twitter mysteriously stopped updating all weekend, huh?

Implications *inhales*...unpleasant.

Too bad we were actually trending. They can't hide the fact it happened. ;D
