I'm a Krogan Battlemaster, I go charging everywhere with my barrier on headbutting opponents out of my way, need my shields back to 100%? I just charge at this guy and my shields are all fresh and ready to go after I implant his face into that wall.

Need a relieve? I'll just charge over to the guy that hit you pick you up.
Need a hand? I'll just charge over to the guy the hurt you
Need a krogan who stays put on GOLD hiding behind a wall for the entire match? Seriously! is that even a question?

I love Krogans.  I usually play adept and just follow them around as I can always count on them backing me up.  I laugh everytime one says "ha, they're dead".  And when two are playing and they headbutt each other.....makes my game.

People that complain about people using rockets on silver. If it is Wave 10 and we are overwhelmed in the blue circle, etc., I will use all 5 rockets if need be. I am not proud. I just want the team to live to play another game.

Also, people that complain about "kill steals". There are no kill steals. No one owns a kill. Repeat after me, "it is about the team" (not your point score).

The only place where this isn't true is if you're setting up Fire Explosions and some derp comes spraying in and mowing them down with weapon fire.

I'm always thinking "I'm the engineer, dumb guy, stop killing the little things, focus the big ones. I use the little ones to hurt the big ones."

I've been there. I think that comes from people not paying much attention to who they are playing with and which are their abilities. Since I usually play as a Quarian Engineer, when I play some other class and there is a Quarian Engineer in the team I know that I am safe leaving the weaklings to her and that I will be much more useful taking down those annoying shields so that she can carry on with the cryo explosions galore.

But I never get mad about it, much less in a game with random people, where there is usually no communication. In the end I think it all boils down to communication, or lack thereof.

That guy on the mic questioning my every movement, "Why is that Geth Engineer back there by himself (I was behind my teammates on FBW, while they were inside, I was outside on the left corner, spraying GPR and Techburst)" Oh I don't know, Turret with Shield Recharge, Disruptor Ammo and Overlord = Techburst, I'm pretty sure I can handle myself.

Mine is a fairly common complaint, but it never fails to make me roll my eyes when I'm doing a regular FBWGG farm for easy credits and the entire team runs off for the objectives when the one infiltrator (Usually me) should be going for it by myself. I appreciate your enthusiasm, but you don't have TC and it would be a lot easier for all concerned if you didn't pull mobs toward me by following me. If I die I promise to fix the problem with medi-gel since the death was is stupid mistake on my part and you aren't expected to fix it for me.

Ah well would rather have over enthusiastic/newb players then leechers.

I, personally dislike snipers. especially when they snipe the assault trooper i needed to punch to go into rage mode. or when they snipe the husk i was about to hit with a fire explosion.

The people on Gold who, rather than bunkering down in cover, feel that they have to take cover in one of the wide open areas where they can be attacked from 3 sides, and they can't seem to find out that it's a bad idea to be there after dying half a dozen times in 3 waves, in the middle of groups of enemies.

-Vanguard Biotic charges and Novas a group of enemies that were lined up for a shot from my widow
I guess they didn't hear you call dibs and claim sole rights to kill that group. Though, if you can't line up the shot and fire fast enough, I guess that's just you being a bad sniper.
-Soldiers tossing a grenade towards a " "
How dare you use your high-damage ability!
- People using the striker and the falcon grenade launchers
Would hate to stagger those enemies.
- That one krogan that always insists on meleeing the target in your scope
Or that idiot aiming his gun at the target he's meleeing.
- drells anyone that uses reave
This is so stupid it doesn't deserve a response. Pretty clear you have no idea how Reave works.
- People that spam cluster grenades
Would hate for them to..kill things, am I right?
-That one guy who insists on waiting for the shuttle to arrive rather than helping his team hold the line before the shuttle actually comes
Or people that make no sense!
-Vanguards that expect me to raise them if they fail to nova a group of enemies that are still alive and around his/her body
I guess their expectation is inferred, right?
- People who know their microphones sound horrible and insist on using it
I guess no communication is better than poor communication, mirite?
-People who use the microphone
Well who is going to tell you how to play, you clearly need a few pointers.
-Adepts that think singularity is the answer to all enemies, even brutes, geth primes and atlases
Clearly you're a mind-reader. Also, they would never be trying to pick up nearby enemies and trigger an biotic explosion.
-People who think they are rambo and run off to a different foxhole after every wave is finished
Staying in one place is the only way to play! This is a tower defense game right?
- People who overload/energy drain my weakened target and steal the kill
Because restoring shields or chaining a stun to nearby enemies is way less important than your points. Or, hey, the basic thought that you aren't the only one dealing damage, but you're oblivious.
-People who spam proximity mines all around the spawn area
I hate when people kill and weaken things.
-Engineers who deploy their combat drones right in front of their face./Salarians that deploy decoy right beside them
This one is special. This one is just a precious nugget of "you have no ****ing idea how this game works". Combat Drone will spawn next to an engineer by default, unless they have a target. And Decoy has a short range, so it doesn't do anything except spawn very close.
- people with N7 level lower than 50 that ready up for a silver or gold challenge.
It would be embarrassing for you to be outplayed by them, right? Did you just say that you have to be 50+ N7 for silver? Because, just...haha.
-Dumba**es who think a level 1 infiltrator is actually someone who is just starting multiplayer (happened to me just the other day)
I can't tell which is better: the irony in contrast to the last thing he said, or the fact that people might just look at the way you play and assume this.
- Soldiers that spam concussive shots
I, too, hate spammed Tech Burst triggers and staggered enemies.
-People that bring 2 heavy weapons like a Revenant and a Claymore
Sometimes the source of this thing called "weapon damage".
-People who just run on rather than avoiding the ravager acid thing after you kill it and get themselves incapacitated.
Running with your eyes glued to the ground is the way to go!
I can go on and on but that wont resolve the problems in multiplayer.

You and others like you could quit, that would solve a lot of problems with multiplayer.

Did a couple of waves ( I love support Krogans! ) then I reload my ammo and turn around to the noise: three krogan in the middle of the room headbutting each other...

I died three times in the next wave because of Laughings....

YES!

How many times have I seen that - wave 10 (or freaking 11!!!) and the host (usually a Vanguard) rage quits because they are dead way off on the far side of the map away from the rest of the team and no one is going out there to save their selfish butts.  Just watch in spectator and enjoy the $$ and XP at the end of the game...jeez

LONG POST.  My sincerest apologies for it.  But I'm not a thread creator, and I think my issues with MP are on-topic with this thread.  So if you're a troll, and/or don't like long posts, SKIP THIS.  But we can't stop trolls from snarking.  Trolls can't resist.  Hence, the troll-age.

I don't wanna' be THAT guy.  But on bronze, I've played with MOSTLY those guys.  I've read that on silver and gold that this may no't be such an issue, but I'm not very good at this MP thing.  It's likely a Bronze life for me.  It's hard enough.

What bothers me:

On bronze level, the meta-multiplayer gamers who obviously are working up their umpteenth character to level 20, and are clearly annoyed that I'm not Space Rambo.  They push me out of the way, move into my cover, warp right next to me, and race off without the team as...that's right.  Space Rambo.  I'm level 16, now, and I can count on one hand the number of missions I've played in which the team actually worked together.  I should have written down all their gamertags and send them a "thank you" for playing the game the way it should be played.

And yes, to all the nasty little trolls who have entered, farted, and left in this forum, and have derided those in this thread who are upset with the lack of cooperation, teamwork, and fairness, there IS a right way to play:

1.  Cooperation, teamwork, fairness, support, understanding your role in the team: GOOD.
2.  Lone wolfing, kill stealing, solitary melee clustering, leaving teammates to bleed out: BAD.

If you don't get this simple dichotomy, well, let's just say I don't want you living in my community IRL.

I wish I could say to those bad players on Bronze that I'm mostly forced to play with (but don't because I refuse to use a mike--it's a horribly abused bit of tech), "Look.  I'm an old gamer.  I don't have a 20-year old's hand-eye coordination or reflexes any more.  I'm slow.  I also am not in this for the personal glory.  I'm playing to get my Galactic Readiness at 100% for the SP game. I'm NOT happy that I need to play the multiplayer game*.  I'm doing my best. I really am.  And I"m trying to be aware of a solid role I can play on a team, and what I'm not capable of doing.  So as a common, grunt human soldier, I promise to do the following:

1.  I will never steal your kills.  I will not EVER use my sniper rifle to steal your melee kill or your biotic attack that you've worked hard to get.

2.  I will not get into your way.  I may follow you at a distance because on some maps I'm easily confused (I'm old), but I will NEVER glom onto your cover spot (that's rude) and I will not step into your line of fire.  I follow because you know where the enemy's coming, and I don't.  And no, I don't always remember.  Besides, you DON'T want me
leading the charge.

3. I will not get a lot of kills.  In fact, I'll always have the fewest, and the fewest point totals.  That's not because I'm not helping the team.  I will hang back, pick my targets, and always go for assists.  If someone is meleeing, I will often pepper their opponent, then allow the fellow player to make the melee kill.  As a grunt, my job is support,
not commando.  Most of the badges I get at mission's end are for assists and support.  They may not be as flashy as your multiple badges, but I feel good.  I helped.

4. I will never, ever, rush out blindly into melee or the thick of the fight. That will get me in others' way, get me killed, and put everyone at a disadvantage because I just stupidly got myself killed.

5.  I will have your back.  I know that you're younger, faster, and much more experienced at this sort of game than me.  Because you're a better player, I will keep to the flank, and work on maintaining a buffer between you and whatever might be circling around to shoot us in the back.

6.  I don't play any other character.  I'm bad enough as it is; I will be worse with yet another Level One character with too many skills and abilities to remember.  So I play a human soldier in support.  That's all.

I just don't want to be THAT guy.  But on Bronze, I have to play with 'em all the time.

Thanks for reading.  I appreciate it.

*Yes, I'm aware that I don't technically HAVE to play multiplayer.  But Galactic Readiness IS tied to EMS.  After one SP playthrough, I've resigned myself to playing multiplayer, to get my EMS at the max.  I'll give myself every option I can for a good ending, if we get one in the DLC.  And I'm just trying to have fun, too, within the spirit of the rules.  EMS goes down if you don't keep playing (I know there's a 75% GR floor), and I want to get a Level 20 soldier so I can better help the team, and not be a burden to the other players.

The only issue here is your horrible superiority complex.

To clarify: people like this guy.

He's right, imo..

Then you also need to stop playing. You're both losers for letting that much crap bug you in a team Co-op MP.

In fact, I think both of you should just go back to playing SP so that you two aren't just another one of our "that guy" stories. Because to be perfectly honest. You both sound like major douchebags.

Just a quick note, there is no such thing as kill stealing in this co-op game. ;)
