I was wondering if anyone else gets the cutscene glitches (mainly in convos) where Shepard's eyes would glitch and almost roll into his/her skull (or at least the iris would suddenly shift up). I think/hope it's a glitch because sometimes it can be quite jarring (especially in serious conversations). I also think it only happens with custom shepards.

Anyway, anyone else have this issue?

And for those who don't, this is what happens:

Yea, I've encountered them many times.

In some cases the eyes roll so far that the iris cannot been seen anymore, white eyes. (This is probably bad English writing, but I figure that you understand what I mean to say :) )

Constantly. And it's not new either. Had been there at least since ME2.

I wonder what causes it, bad animating by Bioware? Facial glitches? Custom faces?

It's so irritating. And yes abaris is was in ME2 but not to the extent it is in ME3 and not nearly as jarring. In ME3 sometimes I just want to face palm when my Shepard's iris disappears.

It's not a glitch. Shepard just has a nerve stim pro installed.

My favorite is when the eyes roll back and the head looks at something "off camera" when two people are talking. Worst one so far for me is when Shepard and Liara are talking in her room on the Normandy. They're face to face and things start to go really bad when you ask her about Glyph and he floats behind her and then out of frame. I assume they are both looking at him, but they never stop the whole conversation .. heads turned 90 degrees, eyes rolling like they're possessed having a conversation.

How that was missed in all the test play-throughs, I dunno.

Edited to add:  Yea, like this:

It tends to happen if you are wearing the stealth mask but choose to have helmets off in cutscenes. Check your helmet and change it, then see if that fixes it.

Wow haha, I never got that glitch. But wow. Seriously Bioware needs to work on testing their animations more. I love ME3 and most of their games but one thing that's always an issue is animation glitches. I've experienced them in nearly ever Bioware Game (other than stuff like BG where there obviously isn't 3d cutscenes).

They probably didn't miss it though, just couldn't be bothered to find a fix.

Nope, this happens to me even though I don't wear helmets on my armour at all (even though I lose the stats bonus).

Yeah that happened to me too. I reloaded and did the convo options in a different order and the glitch didn't happen. So yeah. Weird I know.

Sometimes the eyes will roll to the left in an odd manner.  Never really had the weird roll up glitch though.

The eyes have a life of their own!!!

It takes a specific combo of eye height and width to get them to look this good. But for my Bro, nothing's impossible.

Happens to me too. Also my fem-Shep gets it more. her eyes even look a bit crossed eyed at times.

My male Shepard is more or less ok. My fem Shepard is Asian and I modified her eyes to be less set back. Asian eyes tend not to be deep. The frontal facial plain is broader with flatter nose.

The above picture shows some of the crossed eyes but not the rolled back one. Thankfully it doesn;t happen all the time

Awesome Shepard!

I wish I had more screenshots of my shep having the issue, but I deleted them all because my inital thought was "Herp Derp screenies, delete." But it happened alot with my Man Shep, even in romance scenes (real romance killer ).

Haha, well I guess it depends who you're romancing. I was rather "safe" with Liara, my Shep kept his eyes closed (whut? :pinched:) probably to spare us the awkwardness.

Another good one!

I've noticed it happens when the brow of my character is really pronounced and low. I made some changes to and no more freaky eyes. It also never happens with the default shep.

By the way, fixing my characters brow makes him look MUCH better :)

Jade Empire strikes back.

Now those were eye glitches, ME3 has nothing on that.

That happened to me. Shep "looked" at someone behind her that was speaking, and her eyes rolled all the way back into her skull and her head kept turning from side to side. I swear she was going to start puking green pea soup.

It was a separate incident from the Glyph glitch.

Not a bug, it's a feature.
