Umm...you realise that the indoctrination theory has already been disproven by Bioware and their summer DLC release right, as the indoctrination theory was based on the fact that it was all planned by Bioware, which obviously we realise now that it wasn't.

Facts don't deter true believers... ask any Birther or Truther.

When Gamble and others have been asked if IT is possible and will be addressed, they have been coy. No flat out denials. While this may not mean anything, they are still giving fans the option of believing it. They could have easily said the IT was just fans overthinking things and said the existing ending will just be expanded.

What do they gain by crushing a segment of their fan base?

They will eventually have to do that once the EC gets released, anyway - the longer they wait, the bigger reaction will the inevitable disaffirmation have - assuming IT is wrong.

Or maybe it's a way to make what was going to be a secret DLC twist reveal, not completely obvious again?

I think that people who adamantly refuse to believe in even the possibility of the indoctrination theory, just don't want to admit that they might have made the "wrong" choice at the end.
The Indoc. theory is the certainly the best fit to explain everything left so unanswered in the current endings. That doesn't mean there are not other possibilities, but there is just so much foreshadowing in the game as to what is expected at the end.

I think people who clutch to Indoctrination Theory are like those folks who see Jesus in their toast. They so want to believe that they start making connections where there aren't any.

I think people who just try to ****** on the theory just think its fashionable to bad mouth bioware and are resentful that they got head faked. They never levy legitimate attacks on the theory the just attack the subscribers.

What world are you living in where thinking the Indoctrination Theory is bunk is an attack on BioWare?

One where people, maybe not you, try to shout IT down by saying it was just bad writing.

The EC, explaning on the ending as is, won't deter the true believers in Indoctrination Theory. If they don't like the EC they'll just claim it's all a dream. That's the out in Indoctrination Theory.

If EC doesn't prove IT I'll use an alternative fanfiction ending as my headcanon :P

People would have to blatantly turn a blind eye to all of the foreshadowing. Ever ask WHY so much foreshadowing is written in to the game?

For instance... remember viewing logs on Horizon that talk about how perfect the dragon spikes were for quickly allowing CONTROL of the organism? That adrenaline sped up the process significantly? Why write those into bits for the player to hear along the way? Its called foreshadowing..

Do you think Shepard had a little bit of adrenaline keeping him alive after being blasted by harbys beam?

Why is it that if you dislike Indoctrination Theory and its massive holes and leaps of logic you are called a troll by Indoctrination Theorist? Is that like being called a heretic by a true believer?

PS: They won't just "shrug their shoulders and say oh well". They'll burn this board down.

But it is understandable why they are against IT, it would mean they never got the full game they paid for.

That works in the REAL world... but this is a written story.   Authors don't just throw out random bits.    Stories with "surprise" endings rely on adding in foreshadowing and hints so that they can tie it all up together at the end.

Watch the movies, Sixth Sense or Usual Suspects.     Those movies absolutely rely on foreshadowing and dropped hints along the way to make the ending the "shocking realization" that the author intends.     Those "random" connections were never random when added to a narrative.

I think harby only wanted to inflict enough damage to break your will... YOUR will.  When Shep got up and was all burnt I couldnt help but feel forlorn.

So when you were complaining about being attacked by some over IT, you were just being a hypocrite. Because you sure like to attack personally when you can't actually defend your point.

Those examples have the revel where the points are tied together. You have no such thing in ME3. There is not ending to connect them to. Just hope.
