It's strange, because in the west only 5-20 % of each country is non-religious.

About Atheist crimes, just three words: Stalin - Mao - Hitler (nope, he wasn't christian) = Over 50 million murders

And the interesting part is the influence of Social Darwinism (mainly atheists) and Nietzsche's 'Will to Power' on WW1 and 2.

- Note - I won't participate in this messed up topic anymore.

Neither of the three tyrants you mentioned were motivated by atheism. I dare you, ask any historian you know whether their core motivation was atheism. Also, they set up an oppressive regime which propagated typically religious ideals. They basically emulated religious thinking to reinforce their position of power. Hitler was only publically a Christian, privately he was a Deist. Incidentally, he was also a creationist who even had the Origin of Species burned.

Social Darwinism isn't an atheist idea. Breeding had been around for millenia and the idea of superior bloodlines and highborns was deeply embedded in Christian societies. Social Darwinism on the other hand was only espoused by a small minority. The theory of evolution doesn't even support Social Darwinism. If Hitler had understood evolution properly he might never have become the monster that he was.

If you want to find a negative example of atheism in history then find a society violating basic human rights purely based on their disbelief in gods. Good luck with that.

Yeah, Communism is a religion just as you said.. BS. It's a philosophy uninspired by higher powers, a way of thinking and acting, and it is certainly a branch of atheism as Marx himself has written.

Atheism leads to three major paths:
Scienticism (and living for science - Also scientific method leads to atheism)
Hedonism (living for pleasure)
Nihilism (no purpose to live)

The first is hardly an End, just a means that has replaced that.
Second is why some people like to dumb down humans as "animals", the worst thing to pursue and set as end. In the last 5000 years many religions and philosophies has disapproved such way of life. Yeah, spiritual life is superior, you jackasses.
The last is when an atheist didn't find the purpose of life in Joy or Science ... then he becomes depressed and ready to suicide.
Atheist's Compassion and helping others? that's a joke .. If I were an atheist I would never do that even once in my life.
Minor paths are like gathering money or power, which are doomed to fail also.

Hitler was an opportunist pragmatist who used religious lines as motivation for his people, firstly believed in Deism, then over time he became agnostic. Still His career is against the basis of Christianity.

I was born Muslim, turning more freelancer over time I find tendency toward both orthodox Christianity and Buddhism. This religious dualism stopped me from accepting one as my faith. Then after beginning of my 20s I started reading philosophy. Influenced by Stoics, Cynics, Aristotle, Plato, Rationalists and Romantic philosophers, I grasped the truth in the universe (No I don't need Empirical evidence for that). Finally I was a pantheist for a year (since 2010), then I became Deist by reading more and make more analogy and thinking ... seeing the forces of corruption and chaos in the universe, and finding out the necessity to purge/heal the errors and evil part of the world.

Human rights, eh? It's overrated. I can't see why Human Rights should matter for an atheist? "because it's part of their new belief" ... It says ONLY DEMOCRACY .. I say BS.

The state as a whole is more important than its people (Time to lock down this thread)
