That's funny, because I personally think eyes are the main problem in ME3 when it comes to character animation and realism, and it's really really annoying me, because the illusion isn't there anymore. Maybe because they wanted them to be more detailed and because the lack of film grain, in any case they look like doll glass eyes, because the white is way too shiny.
It's true that they're moving when you're pausing, but not as well as in the previous games. In general, the eyes are expressionless, soul-less, hollow in comparison to ME1 and 2.
I tend to really focus on FemShep's eyes, but this is true for all human characters in my opinion. Jacob and Miranda were really really more realistic in ME2.
Asari characters are much better off, I don't see such a difference frome ME1 to ME3.
I absolutely loved FemShep's vibrant eyes in the first two games, they used to move a lot quicker, and less systematically, it looked more random movement, and so, more alive. Even the makeup looked better, the eyeshadow on the lower lid was softly shiny depending on the angles, really astonishing! All the dialogues aboard the ME1 Normandy are gorgeous, with that orange sunset lightning, I miss that so much, you really had the feeling to be aboard a space submarine.
Anyway, back to the eyes, another thing tha treally bothers me is the shape of the eyes for FemShep. I haven't tried all of them, but in general, it's supposed to me almond shaped, with curves. But now, the lids have inner angles, so it's really really weird looking, much like a Sim. It really shows when Shepard is closing her eyes while frowning, like in the intro, no human being has eyes that look like curved slits when closing his/her eyes!
Also, I miss the wrinkles. Ah... l miss a lot of things. ;-)
