Do we have a need for this?

Who knows.

It's been far too long.

Because of your bump, I told myself "Why not to try that Fov fix?" so I modded the Shared_Aim like you wrote in the first page.
Fact is, nothing changes. I have an Eyefinity setup, so maybe that's the problem, idk.

With Eyefinity ON, the main monitor area is still at 70 degrees Fov, while the secondary screens are only an expansion of the main screen, so they're not enlarging the real Fov.
It's like I can see wider, but zoomed anyway, at 70 degrees, and the fix doesn't seem to work at all.

Try this. Although to be honest, before I knew about the ability to patch your FOV using the coalesced.bin, I used Flawless Widescreen, which I believe does have functioning Eyefinity support with FOV fix.

How can you play on 100 FoV? Heads get small, can't hit anything, keep getting stuck on cover...it's awful.

I even use 120. It's true that it makes sniping a little more difficult and it's a bit difficult to cauge the distance to enemy when using a melee character but it also has it's perks. I have a really wide view and for example i can see the entire middle part in rio while watching trough scope.

FOV is what separates the men from the boys.

105 FOV = godmode.

My advice would be stick with it until you've learned to hit stuff that's smaller, you never know when those abilities just might come in handy.

Read an above post about eyefinity set ups. Get that casual PC gamer crap out of here, single monitor master race.

ahhh yes - this got carried over to the new forums.

started playing MP again after a 6 month or so hiatus (but before that, ME3 MP is almost ALL I played for 2 years xD) - the first two things that I found really killed me was the FOV and getting stuck to everything. think I'll try setting FOV to 80 or 90 at first so I'm not looking up my own arse the whole time, and just want to unbind cover from the spacebar really. wish meh luck (and I'll be back if I have trouble just segregating cover)

I wonder if people stlll play ME3 MP. If they do, they might need this if they don't know about it.

But it certainly has been a year since the last reply, so who knows? :)

One thread was specifically about how to do this last week. But the OP was mocked by the whole forum :D.

Just to be sure, U cannot unbind run from taking cover ?

You can.  The only problem being the auto cover system.  So if you're running, and you run up against a corner or something, you may take cover automatically.  So in that sense, taking cover and running can't be unbound, but specifically entering cover can be separated from sprinting as far as assigned keys are concerned.

this mean it has more or less no effet on the main problem : "taking cover" when u wanna run. That s why i never bothered unbound. Have U noticed a gain ?

Technically if you run up against a wall, it will take cover. It CAN somewhat be altered as there is a specific value that determines that "if you run, and you are at a distance of VARIABLE meters away from the wall, it should go into cover", some people turned that to 0, but that makes going into cover VERY clunky. It can be decreased, though.

However, it has been many years and I do not remember what the variable was called. All I remember is that it has to do with cover, and distance from the wall.
