During the mission where you help the salarian track down the hanar(sp) I had support from Kasumi and tracked down the transmissions to complete the mission.  When I went to the Specter Terminals I had the option to enable monitoring of comms (after mission completion) at which point the game starts playing the audio to meet the salarian out front of the embassy.  The salarian was not there, so not a game breaking issue.
