Is it just me or does anyone else feel a little down after finishing one of Bioware's RPGs.

I swear it took me a good couple of days to get over my Neverwinter Nights depression and was even worse for KOTOR. Dragon age was not too bad. I am sad and I'll miss Morrigan but the NPC's weren't quite as immersive/believable as the ones in KOTOR.

Anyway I'm sad. If you're sad you've finished DA post up!

I think if Bioware had made the NPC's go out of their way to engage you and talk to you it would have been much more enjoyable. I felt like I had to continuously go force the dialogue out of them. In Kotor they would start the conversation, would have conversation with each other that you could get involved in. The useless banter as you explore the world hardly compares.

They do innitiate conversations with you, mainly in camp. You may have found the banter useless, but I found it often humerus, and sometimes insightful into the characters persona.

These were actually the most well developed and voice acted NPCs I have ever seen in an RPG.

Yeah, it was hard to face that Dragon Age eventually had to come to an end. But, then I found the cure - start a new game! :)

Glad I'm not the only one who suffers from post-game depression! Are there any support groups for that? Mine usually lasts for few days or even weeks.

Same thing here. I always suffer from post-game depression with Bioware Games. This means that you're so involved in the game that you hope there's no ending.

This happens because Bioware writers are the best in the Industry. They bring stories to life. I'm actually in love with this software house, guys.

I demand a refund. There was nothing in the manual of the secret cocaine they put into the taint to keep me coming back. Although I look forward to creating different genders/origins everytime a DLC comes out as to say its ok that im using up another 30+ hours of my life because theres NEW CONTENT.

Same thing happened to me... Bioware should hire someone who knows much about psychology to counsel us about this terrible post-game depression.. =(

It's my observation that some people are exhibiting the typical signs of grief that one goes through after a break-up. Fascinating.

Play Baldur's Gate 2, everything will pale in comparison then Размещенное изображение

But yes, almost after ANY game with a good solid story I feel depressed after I beat it, primarily 'cuz I don't want it to end, ever!

Man, I feel the same. Although Kotor and NWN were better games for me. Dragon Age has better story, setting and NPCs. Its more like a movie so I feel like I would really like to be in Ferelden and do things in a a more specific way :D.

Depression is hiting me hard.

Should we form a support group? :)

Nope. I just played it again some 10 times and now I am bored to death with it.

Only thing that depresses me is the lack of decent MMO right now.

That didn't fix it for me. Finishing in harder diffs with the same char or with new char, left me in the same sad state as in my first run!

The only solution I found, for now, was to start 3 games, with 3 different chars/class/race and have them running in parallel. So i just did 3 runs up to Lothering, one act at a time with each. It's been quite fun actually because the very same place can be very different for each of them.

I only hope I won't cry 3 times harder at the end!!!

I didn't have any depression after NWN, mainly because SoU and HotU were already out and after that, there were high quality custom campaigns available, so I had years of fun ahead. The character interaction was, of course, far less than it is with Dragon Age.

I'm actually suffering from end-game-depression right now. I'm taking one- or two-day breaks between every session in order not to have it end so fast.

I just played it again some 10 times and now I am bored to death with it.

If that's what it takes, then so be it! Onwards!

Sometimes in other RPGs, but not at all with DAO, because even near the end of my 1st game, I was so looking forward to starting another origin.

Haven't finished Dragon Age yet, but I did finish Mass Effect 2 already and I went into withdrawl once the ending credits finished. Was left asking myself "Well what do I do now?"

This is the longest I have played a single game in a long time. Since Dragon Age came out I have bought and completed four other games but they have only been distractions until I get back to Dragon Age. I have pretty much been playing this game since it came out until now. I am starting to think I need to go to rehab or something for Dragon Age dependence.

Usually Bioware games are such satisfying, replayable experiences that I don't get any severe post-game depression when I finish them. The endings are always great and satisfying, and even though concluding such a great experience is always a bit sad, the high replay value and the ample length of the games makes it much more bearable. But some games do make me go into serious withdrawal - the whole Phoenix Wright series is one of those. :)

I usually suffer from end-game depression. Dragon Age didn't give me that in the slightest. After I finished, I was ready and eager to see another Origin and build a new character better than my last one.

Depression after a BW game? I still sometimes play Jade Empire. Only thing that makes me sad is that I can't get into many other games like I can a BW game.

One of the very reasons why I loved KotOR so much. Not only did it have a bunch of some of the best characters in gaming, but the fact that they felt so life like and had tons to say. And would stop you to talk or get into random arguments or convos with eachother, DAO has a bit of this during Camp, but that its.. ME is the same way with the Normandy.. And the banter just doesn't quite do it...

But yea in general, I think we all feel something after playing BioWares games, they just affect us differently than other games.
