Do you guys realize that no ending would've pleased you at all ?

People had irrational expectations about this game.

Was the ending flawed ? Deffinitely, but it was an ending that was designed to ASK QUESTIONS, instead of complaining so much about the starchild, why not wonder about his origins ? Is he a "being of light" from Klencory ? Why does he appear to Shepard as a child ? Why is the child himself so important to Shepard ?

I respect the rights of consumers, I myself am one, but that doesn't mean we have to lash out like wounded animals, instead of thinking things through.

This is honestly not true at all.

Yes, my expectations were high.  And you know what?  There's a lot of little things I didn't like about ME3 from the beginning, but I overlooked them becuase the main storyline of the game is highly enjoyable and emotional.  My "irrational expectations" were completely sated through most of it.

The ending, as it stands, is utter garbage for 1000 reasons.  BUT, had the game at least concluded with a DA:O-style climax that at least told us what happened to all past and current squadmates, as well as letting us exactly what happened to the galaxy, most people would've been able to swallow it.  Yes, there would've been ****ing, but I don't think it would've been nearly as severe.  One of the heaviest complaints is that the game ends of a vague, incoherent note.

Perfectly understandably why people are unhappy.

I think most poeple would've been happy had ME3 taken a page from DA:O's ending entirely.  Shepard can live/die based on certain choices, and the climax would play out differently depending on those choices.  In DA:O you can choose to sacrifice your life so others can live.  Or you can send something else to their death, etc.

StarChild will always be terrible, but had that ending offered varied outcomes and epilogues, I think they could've pulled it off.

I think the endings, as a concept (more high-brow science fiction) looked really good on paper. BioWare gets to make a big statement, and is credited with a big artistic achievement.

But they forgot about the series up to that point in order to make that kind of statement. You can't have a conventional space opera the whole way and at the eleventh hour change gears and go high-concept. The shift is too jarring.
