Again, it's not all BioWare's fault that the ending to ME3 was so badly done. EA is the company we should be targeting and thankfully we did just that by voting them the Worst Company in America. EA knows they hit gold with BioWare's Mass Effect series and why would they end the Shepard Story, when they can make more money? The Extended Cut must succeed in order to win back the fans. It has the whole team working on it and it will only show us our war assets actually fighting in the battle and probably will include a lot more of everyone's love interest and squadmates because they know people love the characters the most and by making more scenes with them and having more romance moments with Shepard and the LI, it's a win-win situation to win back fans. There will be a few more Dialogue scenes/Cinematic scenes and maybe more dialogue options for Shepard when he comes face to face with the StarChild. Also, the Extended Cut is free because EA is in damage control mode and they know they need to have the fans and the media back on their side. There will be nothing added after Shepard takes a breath in the rubble because that is the window they created to coninue to make more games and expansions, so sadly this big cliffhanger will remain. Just my honest assumption of what is going on right now and what will go down in this Extended Cut DLC.

Don't blame EA.  A greedy corporation run by non gaming execs would have been fine with a boring conservative overdone ending that let them continue the franchise and sell lots of DLC.

Blame Bioware.  They went with an artsy, highminded piece of crap so they could take their art to the next level or something.


And the thing is Bioware can NEVER admit that the ending is bad.  Or that the ending was only done by 2 people with no review.  The time to own up to mistakes and admit fault is done.  Now all they can do is weather the storm and tough it out.

So no, I think they are being EXTREMELY truthful about what is in the DLC.  (can you imagine if they promised us stuff and didn't deliver again?  BOOM! there goes their customer base)  I think the extended cut will add some cutscenes, fleets in action, a little context, a little clarity of the three choices and their outcome, a little justification for their darling starchild and a whole bunch of "we say its true so that makes it true, hand waving" to clean up all the doom and gloom mess of the endings"

Ok, first of all, YOU wrote that post, so directing my to it, in  order to prove you point fall a little flat.

Secondly, I read your post.  Most is IMO, speculation and interpretation of facts. 

You have a few decent points, but nothing that really sells me on why exactly EA is the one and only cause for these endings and Bioware had no imput whatsoever.

People seriously beleive this ****?

Maybe they learnt to watch what they say with all the backlash they got after the obvious lies we've been fed up for years ? 

It's always preferable than hoping for something that will never happen.

Knowing how they lied about DA2 still being a Baldur's Gate inspired game, and basically every word out of their mouths about ME3 has been double speak or outright fabrication, I have zero trust in them.
They fix the ending or they see not a single dollar of my money ever again.
This goes for EA as well
I will not buy any DLC for BF3 (which I have stopped playing)
Any Game published by EA will not be getting money from me.
I have sold my shares of EA as well (for as low as my broker would allow).

Oh, you're right, it was called Does Anyone Else Think Bioware's Been Lying to Us Again?.

The reason I bring it up is because this was pretty much addressed there, for my part.

Nope, they're really not changing the ending.

We shall see.

Given the lack of anything regarding the EC nothing can be ruled out at this point.

Ray Muzyka himself released a statement saying the ending wouldn't be changed, didn't he? I think that pretty much rules it out.

The only one talking so far is Mike Gamble and some of the lies pre-release were his but most came from Casey and Mac. They haven't made a peep in quite awhile. All we got from Casey was a vague appeasement that didn't tell us anything. Though he did say that ME was a series co-written by the fans so I don't know why they aren't including us more in this process... If 99% of people think the kid is a bad idea, the two people who thought it was cool are right?

He did say this:

Your alternative would be that Dr. Ray Muzyka, one of the co-founders of Bioware, is lying to me, in the hopes of... what exactly? Fooling me? Some kind of contrived marketing strategy? When you lie to someone, you lose their trust, and that is hard to come by.

I want an open and honest consumer/company relationship.

That will fix more than just the Mass Effect ending, which may not be fixable at all.

were not being lied too, they have blatantly said there adding to the crap ending so best thing to do is expect crap and hopefully be more at ease with it
