Unless you have lvl 3 cyclonic armor, lvl 3 ammo power, lvl 3 weapon bonus and a high level weapon. I'm tired of rezzing these horrible vanguards that go away from the group and die then leave because they suck. Now if you're a boss like me with the vanguard, you don't die more than 3 times in a gold game.

A Battlemaster actually, but yes, it is a more powerful Soldier. I use maxed out carnage and barrier explosions and have outperformed many charging Krogans this way. Much more fun and challenging.

More fun, greater challenge. Sometimes, charge, charge charge, etc. gets old.

It does, I'm just thinking about having the ability to recharge your shields, even with the playstyle of a soldier should come in handy.

It would. I did try a mix tbh. but it did not work too well. I plan on making a video with the build and idea, should be out soon enough.

Huh. I didn't think anyone would think a Charge-less Vanguard would be viable. I play a Charge-less Human Vanguard, Shockwave+Nova+Shockwave is actually a pretty cool 'combo,' because the first Shockwave throws enemies and staggers the shielded ones, the Nova strips the shields, then the second Shockwave knocks all the remaining enemies on the ground. I like using it for clearing enemies away from a fallen team member, objectives, or the landing zone.
Shockwave: Radius, Reach, Recharge Speed.
Nova: Force & Damage, Power Recharge, Pierce.
Alliance Training: Weapon Damage, Headshots, Weapon Damage.
Fitness: Durability, Shield Recharge, Fitness Expert.

It's very viable. I usually outperform the charging ones. I will be making a vid and guide likely.

Yes, and so are Vanguards. You're just mad you're bad.
Very few peole are good with Vanguards on harder difficulties, they tend charge off and die or sit back until there's little resistance left.
Even if you have an incompetent adept in your team they don't have the same penchant for charging across the map and dying in the enemy spawn, surrounded by Banshees.
I don't doubt that you are an exception to this, I'm just saying there are far too many stupid kamikaze Vanguards out there to feel safe with a random one on your team.
As for the "You're just mad you're bad", most of us don't even play Vanguard, we are just tied of bad ones ruining our games.

If your not a troll then, really man... "I'm wonderful, everyone listen to me!" is not the way to be considered. If I don't feel like playing with a certain build I just find another game, not his fault if I don't want to take a chance on him.

Yes, bad Vanguards are easier to spot than players being bad at other classes. And I agree that people Charge into situations they can't handle often, but if there's an Adept on the team - he/she should make it their priority to follow the Vanguard around, prime'ing everything in sight.
"You're just mad you're bad" was directed at the OP who claims he's a boss with the Vanguard but still find it's okay to b*tch at other players playing the class.

All this being said, I wouldn't mind learning to get good at Vanguard, after they get rid of the ridiculous sky high glitch. Even then I would like to do it with a team, combining with one or two adepts or adept+ sentinel to wreak some real havoc. Mind you I would want to host- lag kills vanguards faster than most.

Played a gold match with 3 Vanguards and I was AJA with area Reave.
