So I'm trying to figure out how to disable my  Reaper IFF counter as I'm stuck. This is the first time I'm playing it through all the way as I haven't had time before. I heard how cool Legion was...so jumped on the chance to get him. Then got Thane....then did Legion's Loyalty mission. Go to the citadel and all of a sudden the game forwards (which is something I hate about this game...i prefer to advance the plot when I am damn good and ready.)

So now, I have a save (multple ones already too late from what I've read)... without Samara Yet..and no loyalty mission on Thane or Samara. Was gonna romance Kelly Chambers, but if I go to get Samara, or do Thane's loyalty quest, she'll die. I also want her alive in ME3, and don't have time to replay the entire game again.

I noticed there is a way to Freeze the IFF counter.... but I can't seem to do it (A6 this, and 166 blocks that, and not one bit of it makes sense to me).. I think the instructions only work if you save immediately after activating Legion.

If someone could explain it plainly, or fix the save game for me, I'd be very grateful. I don't care if I have to re-edit the thing after every mission. I wanna do those missions AND save Kelly... there has to be a way. (Maybe do the quests, but then set the progress counter back so when I go to save her it doesn't realize it?)

Have ME2 Save Game Editor, which is easy enough....except the missions are all number... there's Boolean True/Falses...Integers....and Mission Codes...And  a QuestProgressCounter which seems to do nothing when i set the number a few lower.

Also downloaded a Hex Editor, but can't make heads nor tails of it.
