on my 3rd time through i decided to play a female and figured id romance Lel. sorry i know its a game still cant get down with romancing a guy. anyways unless my game is bugged there is no female gay sex. my romance with Lel went as far as a kiss, the brothel duelist wouldnt get with me because Lel jumped in and complained and squashed that chance. i didnt have a prior save close enough to try with Morrigan but i figured Lel would be more recepetive. seems kinda strange since she was very easy going about it with my male character.

did i do something wrong?

There is a sex scene involving leliana and a woman but with any character it only happens once, if you got the kiss it's only a matter of time eventually she will ask if you'll join her in her tent and bam, happy time.

Also the brothel scene will only work if after the personal quest you hardened her by saying she's a killer and she was running away from her past in the chantry.

must have bugged then because her dialog tree has not changed and iv finished the game. i never got her personal quest even after the kiss and 100% rating with her. got the kiss near the beginning of the game so something went wrong. i did get to see her sing which i had not seen before at lest.

This is an irritating subject. For some stupid reason Leliana needs to be convinced into talking to you about Marjolaine before you romance her. This is by no means proven fact, I am speculating based on my experiences but this seems to be true. If in a playthrough after I have completed one of the treaties and not tried to romance her it seems to no longer be possible. This does not seem to be true for any other character.

Morrigan does not swing both ways, BTW. Give it up. You can get her to think of you like a sister, though.

If your approval is high and merely "friendly", yes. You did something wrong to sabotage the romance. (If it is high and "neutral", you did something REALLY wrong.) The label for a level of approval changes depending on their romantic stance with you. "Love" and "Adore" mean you're on the right track.

The problem is pumping approval with leliana too quick before u talked to her about her beeing a spie, the way to remedy this is to use console and manually drop ur approval with her back to 25 ish.

If you're going to use the console, just use the Denerim Debug script (runscript zz_den_debug) to turn on the romance option if you've already done the spy stuff and are getting nothing.

She does go both ways, but she's not willing to "love" anyone for now, for reasons that will become apparent during her personal quest.

Just to be clear, you must talk to her about her personal quest before attempting to romance her? How do you do that? Do I put her disposition up in small increments and keep talking to her until she mentions her quest? Then once she's mentioned it I can safely put her disposition right up and start to romance her? Or must I complete the quest before I can romance her?



What if the romance dialog (the "I like the way you wear your hair") comes up before the quest dialog?

ya thats where i went wrong. i got her rep up because there are tons of gifts for her. and missed the lines about her past while talking to her. so i ended up borking the romance. im guess she has to tell you about majo before you actually romance her.

Whoops MP. I just stacked relations did the marjolaine q and voila. Tell her you've heard bards are often spies, and she will tell you about marjolaine when in camp. Take her travelling with you and you will eventually be ambushed.

This seems to come up a lot with Leliana, so I'm going to post this here since it's in the proper spoilers forum after all.  This step by step has worked for me every time, and has worked for others I've PM'd it to as well.  It may not be perfect but it should get you on the correct track.  This is if you are a male character.

The 3 way and 4 way are sort of neat, but there's no cutscene showing anything, so it's really a waste of time.

To embark on Leliana's main personal quest you must do the following in order....if you missed any of these, you're out of luck unless you hack things to lower her approval and basically start all over.

1) Talk to her in camp and eventually ask her "What would someone like you be doing in Lothering's Chantry?" She will bring up being a minstrel.

2) Get her approval rating to Warm (25+ points)

3) Talk to her in camp again about how minstrels are sometimes spies

4) Leave the camp and come back again, talk to her again while still at Warm approval and she'll talk about how she lied about Orlais.

5) The next random encounter should be Leliana's assassin encounter. Complete this encounter and Leliana will talk about Marjolaine.

If you want to bed Leliana once you kill Marjolaine

1) Talk to her in camp and she'll say something like "I know that look, you have something on your mind don't you?"

2) Respond with the following dialogue choices as they come up.....
2A) We need to talk
2B) Are you feeling better?
2C) Er, I think I see what you mean
2D) She was special to you wasn't she?
2E) I'm sorry it ended so badly
2F) Everyone changes unfortunately
2G) I can only hope to one day be as special as she was to you

That should start a romance between you and her. Now work on getting her to 100 approval, and talk to her in camp once you do.

She should say something like "Its been a long time since I left Lothering.........", keep being nice and eventually she'll invite you to her tent.

2) Talk to her in camp, and she'll say (only one time ever), "Have I ever told you I really like the way you wear your hair?"

3) Respond with the following dialogue choices
3A) My hair?  Thank You.
3B) Dear Maker!
3C) Well we are friends aren't we?
3D) And do you enjoy the company of other women?
3E) I think I might giggle and maybe look coy?

Romance will be started

Now do her personal quest and then get her to 100 approval to get her in bed.

Just so I get this straight, Morrigan is only a male romacne plot.  If she is a female romance plot then she is incredibly hard to woo.  With Leliana I had to talk to her, have her sing to me(I am sorry but I laughed thorought the whole song for some reason), get her to 100% approval and do her personal quest.  Took me some time to do all that for Leliana.  So really, no Morrigan female/female romance?

Patch 1.02 is supposed to fix some weird hitch with her personal quest not firing. Dunno if all of these are related to that or not.

On my all my playthroughs, asking what someone like her would be doing in the chantry and answering by saying she's a beautiful woman usually kicks the romance into gear. Her approval label will start off as (Interested) at the first stages of romancing her.

I did this, kissed her, got her to sing to me, her approval won't go any higher, but she still won't take me to bed. I haven't gotten any new dialogue options and she hasn't said anything about her personal quest. Obviously I did something wrong, but everyone calls her my beloved, so obviously the romance is there, I just can't get to the last bit.

Leliana is bugged.

Yep, the 1.02 patch is supposed to fix the problem of missing the quest if you romance Leli before getting that conversation. I shall have to test it out.



Getting gay sex is the same for Leli as the straight variety, with one exception. In an early conversation tree there will be the choice 'And do you enjoy the company of other women?'. This will appear only once - and you MUST choose it. Otherwise, no go.
