OK.  This is really really irritating and I'd like some help.  I can't run daorigins anymore because I get the ''Could not find the Dragon Age Disk.  Please insert the disk..." error message.  I'd like to run it with the dev counsel, so I don't run it run it directly off the disk. The disk is clearly in my DVD drive and accessible. I can run the app using the "autorun.exe" batch file on the disk itself.  The paths appear to be correct.  Please advise on what on earth is going on?  I've had similar problems on other EA products before.  

I'm running Win 7 SP1 Home premium.  DVD drive is external USB.

edit..correction, I can get the start screen from the disk autorun but then when I try to use it, it tells me the disk isn't in the drive.. which should be physically impossible.

You didn't add Awakening? The disk-based add-on pre-empts the first disk's place.

thanks gorath... that was it. So I load with the Awakenings disk instead of my original Origins disk?
