Didn't even think. Just went straight to red, only to find out I went to blue, then I had to backtrack. Not easy when Shep is in super slow mo.

"Sinthesis, pff... don't even understand it but let's go"
*Stops halfway*

I heard killing Geth and red was from that moment no option anymore and he said everyone like me with tech in his body would count as synthetic too. Blue was awesome I always was on TIMs side but BioWare ****ed the story up so there was no chance to help TIM but my favourite color is green and space jesus said: absorb. So I thought it would be not fair to the galaxy but it is a giant step in evolution and will help everyone to go beyond ther normal abilities. Quite an amazing thing. But then I saw how I was absorbed and it ended in dieing too. My hopes that the only ending where he didn't use the word "die" could be better were destroyed. So I reloaded and took the blue one because being Reapershepard and rebuild the galaxy with help of reapers could be cool and I wasn't deciding about the life of everyone in the galaxy.

My Shep is now a Reaper and orders Harbinger to build new Relays and as side project she gets a synthetic humanoid body to meet Traynor again and have Robotsex with her.

This is what I did. I was so shocked, flabbergasted, and dumbfounded, still trying to figure out what the flying frak I just watched that I accidentally chose blue. I looked at it and went, "Err, it's blue... that means paragon, which means more heroic of the choices." only to sit in horror and watch my Shepard slowly disintegrate as the game de-evolved into a tangled mess that ultimately culminated in the story inexplicably stopping...

Reloaded and chose red... it wasn't any better. Went on the forums and found out that those were our endings. There was nothing I could've done to prevent them.

It was 4 o'clock in the morning. I was so determined to finish the game. I had hoped that I was so sleep-deprived that I dreamt the whole thing, witnessing a strange combination of the game mechanincs and that weird "waking dream" phenomenon. The burning rage that followed kept me up the entire night. I could not fall asleep.

I was so confused by the last 5 minutes after Anderson's death that I don't even remember what I did/planned to do. Somehow I just ended up at the tube where I couldn't move anymore and decided "Ah, to hell with it" and opened fire. Not really my choice tbh, I had no idea where I was going without any kind of guidance or map or something and things really went so straight over my head that I just started walking somewhere...

I chose Control at first. I was confused by the glowing, transparent equivalent of a ROTJ Ewok. It was SO jarring that I couldn't help be more than a little dumbfounded. Beyond that, it was blue and I was a Paragon.

But the more I thought about each choice individually, the more Destroy began to make sense and in the end became the only real option with regards to the narrative.

Control and Synthesis, while novel ideas in their own right for ANY OTHER GAME FRANCHISE, didn't fit, nor did they make any logical sense when stopping the Reapers was the ultimate goal. It wasn't "lets end the cycle" or "lets find away to exercise pacifistic tendencies and stop the Reapers with no collateral damage". It was "STOP the Reapers" with both overtones and undertones of finality. Meaning, put them down. Destroy them whatever the cost.

Admiral Hackett said it best; "Dead Reapers are how we win this war."

No actually I walked the paths, and timefailed obviously, I really couldn't decide the first time.

In the end I just kind of stumbled onto control (And I thought it was destroy at the time, very poorly labelled).

Anyway my chosen path has become control. I'm not a fan of genocide.

I did choose "Destroy/Red" without a doubt. Shepard, I hate to say it, has already done it once to stop the Reapers and this is what she was willing to do.
Believe it or not, the other two options didn't seem right to me. Why would Shep ever want to Control the Reapers? I would've found a way to get TIM to do it for me; "You've always wanted to control the Reapers and I found a way!"
Then Synthesize just seemed wrong. Why force every species into an evolutionary change that they have no idea or opinion about?
That's just me. It was never a question, the Reapers needed to be destroyed

I sat there confused for a while.

Controlling and saving everyone... no, the Reapers still exist.

Synthesis... changing everyone into some hybrid being? May as well rape everyone in the galaxy. No.

And then I stared at the Destroy option.

The option I'd been aiming at since ME1. I was going to annihilate the Reapers. The geth... oh that was a gut punch but.. the Reapers cannot be allowed to live. No. They must be destroyed. Even as a paragon I had to do this horrible choice.

Control seemed better but... the point of my ME story was to stop and destroy the reapers. Controlling them merely is a leash around the reapers. Not enough. Destroy.

Didn't believe a word Starbrat said, when he presented me with those 3 "choices" I didn't think twice and walked straight to the pipe. Destroying the Reapers (for me) was the only choice.

Well, I can say that my first instinct was to choose red--but honestly I was a little confused about where all the options were the first time I played so I wandered over the 'Control', only to realize my mistake and backtrack (inevitably getting the "critical mission error" because I took too long to  hobble back). But yeah. 'Destroy' was definitely my immediate response. I mean, that was the goal of the entire series. So the choice seemed obvious.
My husband though immediately went to "Synthesis" because he couldn't stand the idea of killing the Geth. Basically called me a monster for choosing 'Destroy'.

I actually discarded Destroy right off the bat.  No way was I going to commit genocide of the Geth.

Then I discarded Control.  That was what TIM wanted, and I frankly couldn't imagine that ending well.

Then Synthesis came up.  I didn't know what the hell it actually did or if it would even fix this supposed problem presented by the Catalyst.  Ultimately, I was not going to violate the free will and right to self-determination of every living being in the galaxy, so that was off the table too.

Basically, I was left standing there thinking "There has to be another option.  No way are these bullsh*t choices all there is".  Once I realized that those were the only choices I was going to get, I had no option but to go with Destroy.  It sucks, but the others are so much worse.

The only other option I would choose is Control if I knew for a fact I could just order the Reapers to fly into the nearest star.

Had no idea what each beam was supposed to do, accidentally synthesised when Shepard started running for no reason.

Stupid game.

To be honest, I flopped between Synthesis and Destroy when I was first presented with those choices. I never wanted to kill the Geth, but all 3 choices repulsed me, so I ended up choosing Red, as if all synthetic life died, at least I'd pay for such and act with my life.

I never considered Control, because I just finished making a point to TIM that no one man should have that kind of power, and I'm no hypocrite. Initially, I was walking towards the middle, then halfway there, I recalled all those conversations from Legion and Mordin, about self-determination, strength in diversity, finding your own path, all that good stuff. Then I thought about what they might think about me if I chose to force a change upon the whole galaxy, without knowing the full repercussions it might bring. So I chose the path that (I thought) would kill me, but at least bring the Reapers down, too.

Beeline to Red. I had around a five second thought process along the lines of:

"Well I just argued that Control is impossible two minutes ago, Synthesis is basically making everyone a Reaper, which is what Saren/ wanted. And Destroy kills the Reapers, and I hate those guys. Also, who the **** is this asswipe kid?! Why can't I shoot him in the face?!" After which I began the valiant attempt of blowing chunks out of the kid's face, sadly failing.

I then smiled like Yao Ming and made a beeline to Destroy.

**** that ****. Stupid kid.

I knew about the ending even before I played the game so I had an idea of what would happen. I went straight to red because it was the one which remotely made some sense. The two others were totally wtf?!

I thought about it seriously, foolishly believing it would impact the ending. Control was basically a non-option because i had just talked the illusive man into killing himself so that wouldnt happen. I was VERY curious about synthesis, but i thought "who am i to force that on everything in the galaxy?" it felt even more renegade than destroy, even though the catalyst made synthesis sound so perfect, and destroy so evil. so i went to red, im sure if i had asked the geth they would have agreed it was necessary.

I think Control right now, with all the information we've been given, is the "best" and most paragon of all the options.

However, with the information Shepard was given AT THE TIME, and what he has experienced throughout the series (I.E - Using reaper tech has NEVER worked) I can only ever pick destroy. Not because TIM wanted to control them, but because it simply has not worked, and while I'm good, damn good, I don't think even I would be good enough to control the reapers.

Synthesis is such a morally grey area, and its a pretty damn big deal, there are just too many scenarios to consider and rationalize, but unfortunately you've got to make a decision then and there, and with so many unforseen variables, personally I just can't choose it.

Which leaves us with the most tangible and familiar choice - simply to destroy them. It comes at the cost of the geth and EDI, and yes, Shepard is committing genocide of both synthetics and the reapers, there's no way around that and its indefensible, but at least in Destroy you know 100% what is going to happen - the reapers are destroyed, at the cost of synthetics.

Destroy is no where near a happy or even morally good option - hell, when you also consider all the people who get killed when the citadel blows up - its a damn depressing one. However, its the only one with the least unknowns out of the 3, and the only one my shepard can rationalize when given the three options at the catalyst.

I was so confused, and red attracted me first but I didn't want anyone to die, and since Paragon was blue I just insticntivly went for it (despite being Renegade mostly) and I ended up regretting it. Just didn't feel right...Shepard disintigrated, Reapers still alive... etc.

I honestly garther that most ppl were so confused and shocked they literally picked their color or thought what was best without thinking it through.
