Then, I picked a random choice and got onto the forums to see what in the heck happened to my favorite game franchise of all time.

Went to red because thats what I set out to do. Didn't even understand why the other two were options. Didn't understand why catalyst insisted it was the worst and the other two were better. said **** it. went destroy.

 I was so confused by the end..Honestly I thought there was only one path up the middle. I didnt see the other two paths or different colors.

had to think a good bit about that. for my shepard at the time, synthesis seemed the right choice.

I guess I wasn't paying attention. I just saw the two colors and assumed red=bad=control Reapers.

I picked red right away. I immediately thought of Infamous 2, where everything at the end is wonky with regard to paragon and renegade (the lady who had been paragon all through the game was now urging you to take the renegade option and the renegade girl was now telling you to be a paragon) and thought Mass Effect must be doing something similar with regard to the colors. Incidentally, Infamous 2 made it work, and even the two women's motivations make sense if you were paying attention. This didn't work at all; I've watched them on YouTube but you'll never get me to choose anything but red, I don't care about what the extended cut says about them.

Oh, and by the way, if you didn't make peace between the geth and the quarians, and sided with the quarians, it's even more of a no-brainer.

I felt bad about killing the Geth, but no, I picked Destroy without any hesitation.

The whole point of the series has been to destroy the Reapers.

Why would we choose anything else?

My thinking at the time was that green was the least worst of the three. I was soon left with a million more questions so I tried Red and then Blue and found them equally unsatisfying.

Chose green cus it was a straight line. Made the hurting stop sooner.

I chose red, because the other two options are very clearly indoctrination tactics if you think about them - and if the EC says anything different, then I won't even bother to download it.

I didn't even understand what I was supposed to do, and when I was in front of the control thingamabub, I couldn't turn back anymore.

I didn't figure out till later how you picked different endings, and just walked forward initially, and wound up getting synthesis...

Synthesis? Too many unknowns. Seriously, rewriting everyone's DNA? No thank you.

Control? What if it doesn't work or if the Reapers override it and come back later to finish the job.

Destroy? That's the only option that's clearcut and with them gone, the Reapers are gone for good. Need I mention the possible of trillions of lives the Reapers (giant freaking robots) wiped out without mercy over the countless cycles... so synthetics (other robots) won't kill us.

Yeah went straight to Red - didnt have to think about it because of all the 'choices' presented this one at least had some sense to it while the others did not.

Most people went for red. I would also go for red, now...
But my immersion and I made the mistake of listening to that KID.
...But hey, at least I momentarily got to appreciate Tali's picture. Before I knew how bad it was done...

I was so confused my first playthrough, I ended up picking Synthesis *hangs head in shame*. My Shep would never take control of the reapers or kill the geth and Edi, so i went with the green ending (which i didnt really understand).

Same here, I kinda just sat there scratching my head, then remembering Anderson's and Hackett's words, I went red...and wiped Casper out of my galaxy.

Still though, there was no sense of completion, accomplishment, or anything really...I just kinda sat there for 15-20 min after the credits, not doing anything, just staring at the "buy DLC" screen.

Straight to red. Shep's entire mission was to destroy the Reapers. To choose otherwise would have been to betray that mission.

Also I'ver headcanoned it that the starchild was lying his head off.

tried to shoot starbrat about 100 times...then went straight to red. destroy them has been the goal since the start, not control them or blend with them...why would Shepard change that in the last moment.

sucky ending though...so disappointed...still

In the end it was kinda a dick move, but it had to be done. Boom straight to the Red ending, didn't even care about Control or stupid **** synthesis. I mean like you dying then some how controlling the Reapers? WTF?! No. Just no.

If I could have chosen an ending that destroyed the Reapers without destroying the Geth and EDI, I would have taken it in a heartbeat.

I'm actually thinking that many are upset that we've been told through the entire trilogy that we have to stop/destroy the Reapers and we've had the opportunity to learn that the Geth are the original victims in the Geth/Quarian conflict, and now we have to choose between killing the Reapers and letting the Geth survive in the cookie cutter endings we got.

On my first try, I jumped into the pretty looking beam, I had not given thought to the ramifications.
WTH!, I just committed galactic rape!

On my second try, destroy, lose an entire race of synthetics sadly(if we believe that lying little toe-rag)
