Ergo, straight to Destroy.

Basically.

Except I had already discarded Destroy because I had just fought so hard to achieve peace between the Quarians and Geth.  It took me a little bit to realize that I really was going to have to choose between those three.  Once I did, Destroy was the only option.  After a few minutes of emptying my now infinite pistol in the Catalyst's holographic head, of course.

I did all the endings. All of them were supreme dissapointments.

I went for the destroy. To quote Ripley "It's the only way to be sure."

This.

It's the only way to be sure if you do it yourself.

Think about this for a second: You're the smartest creatures in the universe. You're practically immortal and have been around for millions of years.

You gonna offer up your own destruction because you changed your mind about your eating habits?

Red was actually the option I least considered. The Geth and EDI were concrete proof that organics and synthetics could co-exists together peacefully. I wasn't about to betray and destroy them when there were other options to consider.

Blue was an interesting option, but giving Shepard - or ANY being for that matter - that much power and control over the Repears just didn't sit well with me. My Shepard was a righteous individual, but he wasn't perfect. Nobody is. And ultimate power has a tendency to corrupt. My Shepard did not want to risk having that much power corrupt him, so I didn't really like blue.

Green seemed like the perfect "everyone mostly wins" situation. At least more so than the other two. Shepard figured he was going to die regardless, so might as well take the option that does not sacrifice the Geth or synthetics like EDI, got rid of the Repears, and allowed him to finally rest in peace (as opposed to being some embodied immortal entity that controlled a destructive race). It's not by any means a "perfect" option, but for me at least, it was the best option for the entire galaxy as a whole.

And for me (my personal opinion), just because Shepard could survive the red option did not make it the "best" option. Shepard's survival should not be taken into account to what's best for the galaxy as a whole. This is probably the reason why the Repears kept saying that organic life could not understand the reasons they were doing what they were doing. Organic life's most primal instinct is survival. It's core motivation is to do whatever it takes to continue living. So some being telling us that thousands of lives need to be destoryed every 50,000 years for the good of the galaxy is ludicrous to us. We don't want to hear that we should stop living, even if there is a possiblity that the galaxy overall may be better for it. Organic life is - to put it very bluntly - selfish in that way. Now, whether or not the Reaper cycle actually was best for the galaxy is certainly up for debate. I am in no way condoning the Reapers' actions and methods. I'm just trying to point out why I believe Red is a popular choice. Anything that tells us we should stop living are automatically the "bad guys" and should be destroyed without question, and that's just the nature of the self-preservation instinct of organic life as a whole. That's why we're never meant to understand.

I never doubted. From the first meeting with Soverign, my only goal has been to destroy the reapers.

What TIM wanted. Martin Sheen could have pulled it off without destroying the relays. He's too awesome to go out like the chump character he got tricked into playing in ME3.

In the clips beforehand Anderson blows up the tube and TIM does the control touch thingy. So I assumed:
Anderson=Red
TIM=Blue

I therefore chose red.

Didn't pay any attention to the green ending TBH. And anyway, in the red ending the reapers actually collapse to the ground, whereas in the other two they just fly away. So, in the end, the red one is the only one that really felt like "victory", in my opinion.

The blue ending felt a lot like the Matrix ending.

The first time I got to that point, I didn't notice the colors at all. It just didn't occur to me. I was playing as a renegade, and just from knowing what the options were, I sure as heck knew which was the renegade path, and I went for it: Control. Later, I replayed the game as a Paragon, and made the paragon choice at the end: Destroy, of course. Then I saw Shepard wakes up afterward, and knew I had chosen the real ending.

Or maybe I should pretend the real ending is the one I wrote for the game. It's much better, after all. :)

I had to think twice, because honestly, I did not understand what blue and green meant. I still don't think I understand what they mean, except that one somehow allows Joker to boink EDI.
