I have to go with the quarians. It seems they blame everyone but themselves for losing their homeplanet. They say the geth rebelled against them. But in actuality the geth were only defending themselves.

Quarians.

I don't care if your ruthless and bigoted, so long as you admit it.

The Quarians are super racist and they like to justify it by saying the same old argument as every other racist, it doesn't apply to me because the people I discriminate against aren't 'human'.

"They're just _____"

Unacceptable.

Least favorite? Hmm. Probably the Drell, but only because I felt like they weren't as fleshed out as the other races in the games themselves.

Batarians, because they have four eyes (Javik is the only exception because he'll be extinct soon anyway, and he's snarky, I like snarky) they're slavers, they do not hold their people accountable to anything, yada yada. And the only contact I've had with other batarians who weren't terrorists or trying to kill me in some capacity, was as a dying slummer, a preacher of hate, and a merc, who died.

That and my Shep personally beat a lot of batarians on Elysium. I have no love for that ignoble species.

Buttarians.

Because they have big butts and their butts smell and they like to smell their own butts.

Canadians.
One word, Alenko. Eeeuugh...

I used to think they were an awesome race, then I took an ending to the knee.

....Also, anyone else find that the volus breathing noise was unusually loud in this game?

My response to Alan S. about this from page 4:

Well, they changed the sound effect of their 'breathing' in ME3, and not in a good way, IMO. In ME1, they had soothing voices with a sort of mellow breathing sound in between. In ME3 it is like having a conversation with a Dust Buster. The breathing effect is very obnoxious now.

Oh, and my most hated is definitely the Vorcha (even though we are supposed to hate them). I think they went a bit over the top with their voices. They could have conveyed the same evil image without such obnoxiously loud voices (Props still go to Mark Meer for pulling off double duty). I think they would have been even creepier, in a good way, if they had very soft, quiet, menacing voices instead of the nails on a chalkboard sounds we got instead. They come across as some kind of evil version of Jar Jar Binks with all of the dumb-speak as well. Very annoying.

Humans - Cerberus and Udina
Turians - The councilor
Asari - The snobby ones.
Quarians - admirals
Salarians - The Dalatrass
Krogans - Wreav and the mercenaries.
Hanar - The ones that make me say Big. Stupid. Jellyfish.
Geth - heretics
Batarians - the hegemony
Volus - crooked dealers
Vorcha - The vorcha ex-leader
Yahg- The ex-shadowbroker

Havent met any Drell, that I dislike, but Kolyat was annoying.

Asari, by a very, very big margin. Omnisexual blue space babes who can have children with anything? And look *exactly* like human women? Ugh. Bioware + biology = epic fail. Not an acceptable break from reality as I see it.

I like all the others. Well, ok, perhaps not the krogan, but that's more my main Shepard's in-world perspective. As an element of the ME universe they're fine.

Hey! They look like turians too, you know with the head fringe, right????..................Right??

Reapers. They are synthetics that kill organics so that synthetics don't kill organics.

This aside i would say the Hanar.

And not to mention: The quarians created the geth.

Heh, they kinda remind me of those who always complain about how it was their computer that created the problem and that their actions had nothing to do with it.

Whatever race created the Catalyst. They have no name so I'll just steal from Halo and call them the Precursors.

The Vorcha, who uplifted these douchebags anyway? The Varren are more intelligent and more deadly in battle and they are a fish/dog hybrid. The Vorcha were put in to be the "foot clan" of the Mass Effect Universe.

Nobody uplifted them. That's their problem.

They were a primitive race that ended up amongst spacefaring races with no preparation, by accident. Then, Krogan mercenaries then figured they would be good cannon fodder and a 'force multiplier'.

Combined with their lack of organized uplifting, low life span, status as torpedoes for unscrupulous mercs, and facing discrimination, it's no wonder very few Vorcha seek to better themselves by pursuing education and other trades.

I never found asari interesting... frankly, they are a bit disturbing... and Aethyta is right, what a potential wasted.
So I am going to say asari.

NOT gonna say vorcha or batarians. The first are literally the racial equivalent of Kaidan - just there to serve a certain purpose, no personality, no... flavour if you will. And we are yet to see a batarian who is not a slaver, raider, or complete ******

I don't HATE any particular race, but each one has individuals that I really dislike.

Quarians - Daro'Xen. She makes my skin crawl. And obviously Han'Gerrel, for being a shortsighted, bloodthirsty fool.

Daro'Xen does that to many people. Especially me, every time she opens her mouth, she makes me feel dirty.

This is how the races are presented:

Humans - Arrogant bullies, and we had Cerberus, Terra Firma, and Udina, Donovan Hock, Vido Santiago, and others.
Turians - Arrogant bullies. Letter of the law types.
Asari - Females in positions of power. [sarcasm] Unforgivable! [/sarcasm]
Quarians - We're supposed to hate them so they gave them Slavic accents, and made them wanderers without a homeworld for 300 yrs.
Salarians - The Genophage Creators. They used to eat flies.
Krogans - Wreav and the mercenaries.
Hanar - The ones that make me say Big. Stupid. Jellyfish.
Geth - Make these weird noises and shoot at you, but we're supposed to like them over the Quarians. Geth are Paragon. Quarians are Renegade.
Batarians - The most human-like of all, but with four eyes. And they take slaves in the Hegemony. But hey, Salkie seemed decent, so did Sgt. Cathka. Yes, there were racist bigots who served poison.
Volus - Crooked merchants. AKA negative 19th/early 20th century Jewish stereotypes.
Elcor - yawn
Vorcha - They only live 20 yrs. Have reached their peak of evolution. But "we know of Gavorn's tricks. We no kill anyone today. We leave."
Yahg- We don't know much about them, except they're highly intelligent, and quite violent.
Drell - Nothing to hate here, but we don't know them well either. I'm sure there's good and bad.

I think that the Vorcha have actually a pretty big potential if there wouldnt be so much racism against them. They are immune to diseases and can adapt perfectly so the can eat and breath what they want. Maybe they are even immune to indoctrination as they can adapt to it.

Elcor. Part of it is that I'm disappointed because they were a pretty cool idea, and I love the speech pattern they have.

But for me to like them I need an explanation as to how they developed space travel without arms or hands of any sort. I could understand if someone supplied them with technology that was voice activated or something, but it's hard for me to envision them developing tools at all! And they aren't mentioned as being biotic, so they couldn't use that to move things around.

Maybe I'm just not versed enough in the lore to know how it is possible, but it just seems ridiculous.

Most hated? Batarians. I'm a human so I have to hate them... right?

Interesting hate on the quarians. I'm not saying they're perfect little angels, far from it obviously. But ME1 and 2 had numerous examples of how crappy the life of an average quarian is. Almost every single one you meet is either struggling to survive their pilgrimage or being accused of something.

I also find it interesting the complete and utter hate for admiral Han'Gerrel. Yea I punched him in the stomach for being such a tool in ME3(he was kind of out of character, imho), but that doesn't take away what he did in ME2. He was on your side concerning Tali's exile mission and he seemed like a reasonable, sane, admiral back then. Koris had a huge stick up his butt in ME2. Funny how their roles got reversed and not many people remember it.

Being nice is a way to get on my good side, shooting missles at a ship that I'm in is a quick way for me to completely forget about you being nice before.
