I don't get the obsession with having all the ultra-rares really. Most of them are nerfed to be worse than rares in the MP, even if you do get them up to X.

Unless Bioware un-nerfs them or makes them have a bigger advantage to offset the severe disadvantages they have now, I'm not going to even consider spending a single dime to try and get one. Why waste money on something when I can use what I already have and do it better?

I don't like this idea - N7 weapons are coveted due to their rarity and the fact that you could, technically speaking, play this game forever and never get one. Whether you like the store unlock system or not - it is something that makes this game unique. I would not want to see this happen to our top tier weapons.

I still contend a card trading system is the way to go. Make it so you could trade weapon upgrades with each other (trading a Widow X would simply lower your Widow X to a Widow IX while simultaneously upgrading your friend's Widow V to a Widow VI, for instance). I would gladly trade away my Paladin for a Batarian Soldier, Widow upgrade, Claymore Upgrade, Geth Plasma Shotgun upgrade, Revenant upgrade or a even a damn Disciple upgrade.

Alternatively they could make it so when you trade a weapon you completely lose it. That would probably be for the best to the community because after trading away your Widow X you now have the ability to unlock more Widow upgrades again instead of just Characters you already have maxed out.

As someone who has only gotten 1 ultra-rare card, and that being the one automatically granted by the one commendation pack, I support something similar to this plan.

i just play with the paladin as an infiltrator and there is no sniper rifle that satisfies me more ! by the time someone needs to scope/zoom in i kill up to 3 enemies! even primes are no match for this gun!
i agree paladin 1 isnt as good as carniflex X

You think you have no luck? I have bought well over 150 premium/spectre packs and have no N7 above level 1. Meanwhile I see people with BW's 3+ and they've bought a grand total of 20 spectre packs.

The store is a joke and I've become very frustrated with it. I have maxed everything but the N7's and have absolutely no luck. It's to the point I don't even want to spend my credits anymore. Two nights ago, I spent a total of 1million in one sitting and didn't receive ONE N7!! Not one!!!

I don't want to hear anymore from people who haven't maxed the rest of their weapons.

Where do you get this from?  Black Widow and Javelin at X would be far and away the best SR's.  They're probably the best at level 1 anyway, with the only thing coming close being Widow X.  The Paladin levelled up is the best HG and and the Scorpion levelled is pretty much the best CC gun in the game.  Level that Sabre up and reduce its weight and try and tell me it isn't far and away the best AR in the game.  Sure the Wraith isn't incredible, but if its levelled, it's better than the Graal and much lighter.

Your comment is full of false information.  Ultra Rare's level for level, are the best weapons in the game.

EA would not consider doing this because it would reduce their revenue stream. People get frustrated with the time it takes (sometimes) to unlock that character/weapon they want to play with and may end up spending real money to get it.

It's distinctly possible that it would increase their revenue stream. Buying unlocks and weapons is nothing new. Buying a random chance to get something you care about...that's a bit more new, and obviously not worth it to more people.

All i want is an N7 assault rifle, nothing more.

The Sabre is the only one, and it's not really a true assault rifle - it plays exactly like a sniper rifle with a bigger clip. A true full auto or burst N7 AR would be nice - though such weapons tend to be terrible in this game.

I think every 1 should put a support in for a N7 pack which cost 250,000 to 500,000 to get a defo N7 weapons out of it. Even if it just for a couple of days and let the pack come out once a month and 800msp for those people who want to waste money on getting the packs. Who agrees

At the moment, nearly everyone I play with in my Clan/Guild is saving their credits up for the next weekend pack that's worth investing in. None of us really want the new weapons, and everyone has the cards unlocked they want.

We just want a select few n7 weapons, and to get those weapons leveled.

Bioware probably won't release a pack like you're suggesting (although the Bioware/Microsoft point buy-in would be huge) because of the speed at which players will reach their level cap with no incentive to play more.

I suggest saving your credits until another premium spectre pack weekend, then cashing in all on that card expansion. Me, I'm getting low on rockets, and an equipment pack weekend looks like it might top my desire to upgrade my Black Widow five more times.
